He's hardly been over worked in the last 4 games, we've tightened up due to a return of our best back four for the first time in god knows how long.

Bigger unit, more commanding, can actually save long range shots.

Whether Martinez says Howard is still his number 1 shouldn't matter, Howard should still have to fight for his place back. Robles has done well, and knowing he has Howard breathing down his neck may just push him harder to keep upping his game, also, what effect is it going to have on the lads confidence if he's benched for Howard.

I think roberto explains it quite well tbh and it is true that GK selection is different to outfield selection.

Howard is still the better keeper at this point. Obvs some won't agree, Howard is another who takes more flack than he deserves from blues.

End of the day, he's gonna be No.1 choice for the forseable and that includes the masively important Europa games. Baring that in mind he has to come back in straight away.

Big plus is that Robles has showed he's not a complete disaster waiting to happen.

ALL managers put there No.1 straight back in even if the stand in has preformed well.

Back to the old story there. I imagine Robles would feel very pissed if that happened. It is that kind of thing which often leads to upsets in the dressing room and often prompts the player to think of moving.
