Roberto Martinez discussion

Maybe I should of expected that but to be honest we are a lot worse than I realised. Newcastle are possibly the most unbalanced team in the league and yet we've just surrendered possession willingly. We had the perfect start and rather than pushing on and imposing ourselves on the game we've dropped deep, invited pressure and paid the price.

I don't want Martinez to be sacked because I have faith he will turn it around but he's looking a little out of his depth at the moment. He's the same as a lot of other managers (the biggest example coming from across the park) in that when things aren't going his way he struggles to adapt and looks a bit clueless.

ridiculous and you know it.

Next Manager To Go
  • This market will be concluded at 3pm on the last day of the Premier League 14/15
Alan Irvine 4/11
Alan Pardew 11/2
Steve Bruce 9/1
Roberto Martinez 14/1
Nigel Pearson 16/1
Gus Poyet 33/1
Harry Redknapp 40/1

Yes we are over-playing, but pro players should be ok with controlling and passing.

Ross's mistake an example , that is not bobbys fault.

But what i think maybe down to bobby, is the thinking that a players talent should be enough to win us games. We need fight, strength and determination and pressing.....im seeing none of this.

ridiculous and you know it.

In what was is that ridiculous? A lot of managers are great when things are going rosy and their game plans are coming off week in week out, you find out who the top managers are by their ability to handle things when the opposite happens.

Martinez is a talented manager no doubt about it but so far at least he hasn't done much to show he can handle the high pressure situations.

If we don't back in the manager an sack him instead we'll look like a like club that thinks its bigger than it is…

It's a tough time for sure but nothing we haven't been through before. We all remember moyes 2nd season right?

The biggest worry is that every year there is a team that is mid-table and struggling to put a run together who get sucked into a relegaton battle.

This team is showing no signs of fight, to restricted to one type of play and a manager who is determined, no matter what, to stick to this philosophy.

All these signs are not good, when things clearly need to be addressed and the manager is not willing to

We made loads of mistakes today we only got punished for a few.
How many times did we play the ball back then give it away.
It made their job easy.

His desperation was shown in the line up. All change and big names dropped.

We're going to be even more desperate now. Can only hope we find a way out of it but any more performances like that and you know what will happen. Evertonians will tolerate a lot of things but their team showing no fight is never accepted.

Let's hope we and he can find a way out of it. Soon.
no pressure on the ball all over the pitch, too many luxury players and no grafters.

I would sack him if we find our self in any sort of relegation fight come March no question.

We shouldn't be in any sort of relegation fight.

We haven't just sold out squad off nor have we had a lucky season last year. We are a top 6 club and have been for years. so a relegation fight with the man who took Wigan down at the 3rd time of asking is writing on the wall.

And that is exactly the kind of thing which will suck us down further if something is not done and soon.

What worries me most is 2016 and 2017. There are nine outfield players in the squad who offer little to nothing positive and are under contract beyond this year. None of them are going to improve at this stage of their careers, either. That's way too much dead weight to carry around.

Martinez is batting about 50% in the transfer market. He's going to have to be very clever next summer.

We won't get relegated but it's losing our best players that's the worry. All the hard work of building such a good side with a limited budget will be ruined because of one man and his stubbornness.

All he had to do was stick with his team from last season and he changed it for no reason.

Naismith has a little purple patch= HE MUST PLAY

Eto'o has 1 decent game behind the striker against Burnley= HE MUST PLAY

Barkley and the full backs completely nullified by his Jarg team selections he's awful this season.
