Roberto Martinez discussion

tomorrow won't be the one, it will be when we draw with Hull, get knocked out of the FA Cup and have a 3 day build up to the Man City game 4 points clear of relegation in the middle of January and then we hear that we squad will not be reinforced

Its doubtful the squad will be added to IMO.

I doubt it also, but if at the end of last season we were offered the squad we had going into this I'd estimate 85% would have taken it. In fact I think a lot did say that if last seasons squad could be made permanent with one or two additions that would be great and although we didn't keep delofeu in the main that became a reality.

We traded the little Spanish lid for a midget tosh winger and prolly the best midfielder of his generation.

Yes, top 8. The same position Moyes was happy to finish at during his time here. Seeing as you've been bleating on about relegation for months.
Months? don't lie mate, I have not mentioned relegation until recently, not at all, in fact I hardly remember saying it recently, find one post of mine from 'months' ago to prove me wrong

*awaits can't be arsed

I'm 100% that given time he will slowly drag us lower and lower in our final league standings starting with this season I hope he has at least 10% of Moyes motivational skills as he is gonna need it when we beat city with 10 men a week after the Wigan farce was amazing all things considered next week it's bottom of the league

Because he isn't exactly refreshing the squad, giving contract extensions to hibbert, Osman and distin shows this. He's had a few opportunities to play Garbutt and Browning this season but has opted to go with Hibbert.

How long before these younger players decide they've no future here and leave, then we have to go out and spend $$ on players in positions we already had covered.

That he keeps a couple of squad players on that we would expect gone..does not mean he will not continue to change the first team in his time here.

That he failed to pick a couple of youngsters over a veteran...at that point in time...does not mean this will be the way of all his decisions.

Too much black and white supposition ending in damning a manager that we should be giving time and patience to.

If...like with our ex boss...we were staring at season after season of the same decisions then I can understand this meltfest. But not now.

But we are a "club that sacks managers after half a bad season".

And why shouldn't we be?

If it ain't working, fix it.

If we hadn't been a "club that sacks managers after half a bad season" then Mike Walker would have been allowed to take us down.

Every club is the same if they think they have the wrong man.

The RS with Hodgson, United with Moyes, Spurs with AVB, Chelsea with Di Matteo six months after he won the European Cup.

I don't want Roberto sacked......I want to see him send out a team to react like wounded animals at Barcodes tomorrow and Hull a few days later.

I want to see the raw aggression we showed in the final twenty minutes of the first half yesterday.

But I'm sorry, if this somnambulant drift continues then we are going to be in deep trouble a month from now and it would be a gross dereliction of duty on behalf of our board if they didn't at least inform the manager that it ain't good enough and tell him to buck up or ship out.

Everton Football Club is not a playtoy for Roberto Martinez to experiment with his "philosophy".

This is much deeper and way more worrisome than players bring "out of form".

As myself and others have commented upon, something must have been said to the players at half time yesterday because the team which came out in the second half was a shadow of the one that battered Stoke for the last twenty minutes of the first.

Currently it is a bad league season...half.way through...in which we have also done well in the Europa.

It is a comparably bad points total with other seasons.

It is half way through a new managers second season.

It is crap to watch and predictable but we have also had a lot of injuries, players looking bang out of form and also playera literally killing games by handing the opposition a goal and the advantage.

If we are.deep in a relegation that we look like we will struggle to get out of then I could understand the panic.

Currently we are not, and as said before I dont know why any fan would want us to be a club that sacks a manager given the situation described above!

IMO its complete nonsense.

Honestly mate I hope you are right as that'll mean the club is going well.
