The worse thing we can do right now is come out and allow them to pressure us. We need to get right into them from the beginning of the 2nd half. We must not sit on this lead. Its typical Everton and i hope we get at them.

If QPR score within the first 10 mins of the restart, it will certainly test us. Big 45 mins this.

I'd be a fan of a Besic-Barkley midfield 2 against any lower teams that will park the bus against us. Barkley's long-range shooting ability will force them to come out of their shell and close him down.

First 20mins I felt like I'd gone to pick my lad up at Daycare and they'd had to wake him from his midday slumber - we were that slow out of the blocks.

We're still not playing with confidence which is understandable I guess, bearing in mind our recent run, so I'll take 2-0, I'd like Rom to score sometime soon though and us to win comfortably, do our confidence the world of good.

If I see us move the ball back to Howard after having had a free kick 35yds from goal again though, I'll be up the front of this plane and tell the pilot we're gonna need to divert our course somewhat - words will be had!!

that was simply shocking. it's in that awkward central position, but still, you've just got to hit it into the box and see what happens. i never get whyfans groan when we go short from corners because we are worse than useless when putting it in the box.

on the other side, this game illustrates why we don't go long. jagielka and distin's long balls are utter w*nk. they miss the target so often and the only time they do hit rom's head, it's with him jumping backwards and off balance.sometimes it's not as simple as saying we should mix it up.
