First 20mins I felt like I'd gone to pick my lad up at Daycare and they'd had to wake him from his midday slumber - we were that slow out of the blocks.

We're still not playing with confidence which is understandable I guess, bearing in mind our recent run, so I'll take 2-0, I'd like Rom to score sometime soon though and us to win comfortably, do our confidence the world of good.

If I see us move the ball back to Howard after having had a free kick 35yds from goal again though, I'll be up the front of this plane and tell the pilot we're gonna need to divert our course somewhat - words will be had!!

Gotta defend Lukaku tonight. He's done little because the play has been rubbish and rarely involved him. When it has, his touch has been fine, his efforts to get himself clear and get passes away have been fine, he just has not been given anything that can constitute a chance on goal.

got an assist, he;s literally had nothing. he's not even moved away from his position, tbf we haven't had a chance apart from mcgeady. two goals from distance ... just remembered naismith's chance from coleman's pull back as well actually.

he'll get a goal for himself today though

villa were a lot worse. i'd say even arsenal were worse.
arsenal didnt
have a good first half. but they have talent on the pitch. something we did see in the second half. Lol
villa are allways dangerous on the break and they have a much better team then QPR

Seems it always takes us a bit to grow into games this season. Mostly because the opposition press us like crazy in the opening minutes trying to force an error.
When the game opened up we looked a much better side.

Geads has been wasteful and Lukaku needs better service although he was close to Naismith's cross.

It would be nice to give them a battering as it might kickstart our season.
