Last season Gerrard hoofed the most long balls, 350, in the premier league, Henderson hoofed 185. So between them the central pairing hoofed over 500 long balls. That is nearly 10 per game. Obviously, Mr Clever doesn't watch his own team. Last season they had the 3 whippets up front Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling and the ploy was 'to get it forward quick and balls to that tiki taki nonsense'.
