Tim Howard

He's a good keeper but today he wasn't
He's a very good keeper who occasionally raises his game to outstanding.

Unfortunately the effort in achieving this increases the possibility of him having a brain fart in several of the subsequent matches.

The above also applies to Jagielka.

I think he needs to shave that muff off his face and learn to catch ffs...... He's a disgrace to his family, friends and countrymen.

If Robles had put that performance in today I'd have been setting up my own club and borrowing 50k from the bank to transfer him into my outfit just to get him away from Everton.

It's the old cliche, plenty of players make mistakes but when its a keeper the mistakes tend to be fatal. Palace are alright and so if a side had to get some errors thrown in to get them a win I'd much rather them than countless others.

Tim Howard? There were 3 players around the Palace player for the penalty, 2 who failed to do anything and Howard who gave away the pen, cant fully blame Howard for that one when there are 2 other players going for the same ball without commitment. As for that cross, that no one prevented, how was that even allowed? If we were defending better and not leaving it for the last line of defense (TH) it wouldn't of happened. Howard had to go for that, ok he badly messed it up but the mistakes in the outfield players that lead to these situations don't seem to be getting picked up on as much.
With the amount of work the players are leaving for Howard this season its obvious goals are going to be going in, no other keeper would do any different.

Yes Howard was and has been at fault, but the players in front of him that are offering no protection to the penalty area are just as bad.

The cross mate was a hopeful aimless punt into the box that Howard had about 10 minutes to size up, take the striker out and either catch or punch. Mistakes by outfield players are getting pulled up left right and centre, take a look at the numerous threads about Jags, Distin, Barry and McCarthy. Howard was woeful yesterday and should be rightly pulled up about it. No excuses for that 2nd goal yesterday, he's a keeper with a huge height advantage over a striker and looked like a little kid flapping at thin air.

Mate he didnt even need to take the striker out, he was unchallenged, dj cambell just stood there behind, the ball sales right through howards hands and hits the lad on the shoulder and goes in. Absolute howler by howard , if joel had been responsable for some of the howlers hes had this season, there would be petitions to get him deported and all sorts
