Think he thought Robles may have been a serious challenge to him last season hence his upturn in form. Now we all know Robles is no threat and so does Howard.

....I think Howard's reaction reflects a good team spirit, but Coleman doesn't seem too concerned about what was said. Perhaps Costa said something along the lines of, 'jolly hard luck Seamus, your performance today has been first class'.
 
I think Tim just needs to start saving shots. Start off with saving say one in ten, and then aim for for higher with the intention of providing a goalkeeping facility to the team.

We need a keeper asap Howard was never top drawer but he was doing a job for a team on limited resources but there is no point in having a team with top class attacking options only to concede goals from practically ever attack that we have to defend against.
Also Jags and Distin are well past there best.Martinez has been on the end of many hidings over the years I really hope he can prove he can teach a team to defend. Sure yesterday wasn't a hiding and there were many positives from the game but the fact is we conceded 6 at home and were lucky to keep the keeper on the pitch.
This is not a knee Jerk reaction I have slept on it before posting.

Costa fronts up when he sees Howard.

Costa definitely said something to Coleman he shouldn't of and was expecting a reaction.

Personally it was fully justified.

You don't let anyone push you around on the pitch.



Jagielka just stood there and did nothing. McCarthy should have been in there too.
 

Personally if Howard had of flown through the air "Super Fly Jimmy Suka" style for a takedown at Costa it would have been fully justified in my view.

I think we need a new goalie, I'm sorry but 8 shots on targets and 6 goals is not good enough, look at the difference in their goalie, that save from Kev won them the game, Howard wouldn't of saved that, also he should have been sent off twice
