He's also 33(allegedly) and on the decline. For all the fluff and bluster this version of Eto'o is a far far from the World Class Eto'o who was the best in the World.

Can't blame some for thinking he is living on his reputation.

We'll see I suppose, like I say a 33yr old Eto'o is still a damn sight better than Vellios or Straq so can't lose really.

But he cost even less than Seamus Coleman. I mean like totes wowzers.

Again, that'd be a reasonable wage. Anything sub £60k a week is palatable.

The less it is, the better, not just from a financial view but because it'd indicate that money means absolutely nothing to him and the reason for the transfer is for footballing reasons alone.

Who knows, he could have taken the Liverpool snub angrily (and let's be honest, if they had went for him instead of Balotelli, he'd be having a medical at Melwood today in all probability) and has something to prove - joining their rivals and tearing the league up.

So whether it's a good deal depends on his mindset to me - I'm not seduced by the name of the player in itself, as that's years gone by.

I agree, not the massive wage I was worrying about

If the way rumours are true about him turning down big money moves then it seems like he has a point to prove. This looks like its going to pay off massively.. What an exciting g backup striker!

9 goals in 21 in the league, 3 goals in 9 in europe last season. Surely better than Kone??
