Well one had won nothing and the other had won everything, so I'm with Nev on this one.......

Has he won something in England? I was unaware of that.

He's completely unproven here. Big van Gaal fan generally here, but you can't say he's a definite success before he's managed a team that has kicked a ball in anger in the Premier League.

He... he hasn't mate. Honestly. It's August 5th.

Seriously, you could sign Messi but you'd have to at least wait a few months before you called him a success in a United shirt. Remember Veron? Forlan?

Joking apart I know what your saying to be honest Tubey but his past track record speaks for itself and the transformation of the team so far has been quite staggering

He has his feet firmly on the ground and has been completely open and honest about everything so far

I live in hope

I genuinely see a dog fight for 4th spot this year...United are one of four teams in that tussle. Their absence from European football gives them the edge though

Chelsea, Arsenal and City will be (in some order) 1,2,3

United will get a boost because RVP will play this season and they don't have Europe.

They're not good enough to win the league, but it's silly to assume they're stuck down in 6th-7th again.
Likewise, didn't we all assume they would be title challengers last season. The very same team walked the league the year before.

This.

See Capello, Scolari and a host of other A-listers.

See I like that and fair play to you Neville. If I'm honest United are my favourite of the so called "big boys", and I'd love to see them up and running against City and Chelsea again.

But I'd love to see us do it more lol

The only one getting wound up here is you mate.

Does it bother you though that no one gives a rats arse about your friendly win against the RS.

For what its worth my ( Match going) Evertonian contacts and mates think its great that we shafted them

Like someone else said earlier. How Uniteds standards have slipped.

But you've never been away, as you say.

Congrats though on the pot you won last night

Fair play mate

Always had a healthy respect for the Toffees that's why I come on here

I reckon everything is up for grabs this season by the way

Hope you do well
