Lukaku is 21, Bacca is 28 in September. Can we afford to spend the majority of our money not just this year, but let's face it, for the next few years unless we sell someone, on a 28 year old who has never played in the Prem?

Been an Everton fan,you go right from one end of the scale right to the other end of the scale, feeling estatic in terms of thinking we are signing someone to might not be,to we know we are, to we might not be lol Only Everton can do this,some teams make it look like they can do deals whoever its for in days, were at Everton we seem to do it the other way and seem to make deals take as long as they can last lol i still think Lukaku will come-if thats me been in hope who know's.

Thinking about it the only club he has truly been first choice for since leaving Anderlecht is us. He should recognise that and knock himself down a few pegs. Lukaku and Everton fit. I can't see him commanding anywhere near as much gametime at Chelsea as he's had here last year. Staying there may undo the work Martinez has done this season from Lukaku's prespective. If he stays fair play to him for wanting to fight for his place but I do think it's the wrong choice for him even with my blue specsavers on.

Bacca would be very good signing imo. If Rom decides to sit in shelski bench he would be my 2. Choise, after Bony.

I can see us signing Samaras. He'd be a big asset in the europa league, given that he has a lot experience in the c/l scoring many goals against top notch clubs,whilst playing for a very inferior Celtic side.

Maybe, but I would be dissapointed if we replaced Lukaku by Bacca. Maybe Bony, but not Bacca.

He would be daft to stay at Chelsea, after the season he's just had with us. Massive respect to him if he does stay there and fight for a place but Everton would be the best place for him with his age and need for gametime.

Really hope we get Lukaku but I have a nagging feeling we may miss out on him. Bacca would be a decent signing, but both of them would be fantastic! Martinez said he wants 3 strikers, I am presuming Traore will be one of them so it is just down to who the other two will be.

Lukaku/Bacca/Naismith/Koné/McAleny would be a decent strike force.
