Aiden McGeady

Thought he was our best player in the first half, the amount of times he got to the byline and there was noone in the box was awful

Probably our only decent player tonight. Beat his man plenty of times and put a few good balls in. Absolutely no support though, and a couple of players to aim to in the box at the best of times. There seemed to be quite a few tits around me who moaned whenever he got the ball and tried to dribble someone, wtf is up with that? It was funny when he invariably went past his marker and they were left silent.

I have the impression quite a few people don't like him without even giving him a chance for some reason? I've been impressed to be honest and really enjoy watching him play.

He's the player who's most likely to create a scoring chance for us imo, he beats his man and puts a good cross in more times than not. I'd honestly say he's our best winger, probably because he is an old fashioned winger. I'd much rather see him get a full 90 minutes over the likes of Deulofeu and Mirallas because at least if things aren't going his way he doesn't turn into a passenger

thought he was awful myself & would've subbed him at half time, failed to beat a man loads of times, in fact almost Every time, when he did his crosses were miles away, no point just belting it over a cross is a type of pass not just a punt.

Was dead happy to see him start tonight, and that McGeady spin down the left on the first half was beautiful. I'd start him over Deulofeu on Sunday to be fair, and then bring Gerry on last 20/30 mins for the pace

We must have been watching a different game. He failed to beat his man 2 or 3 times max out of 10, which is very very good. His crosses were miles away because our players were miles away, many of them went into good areas.

Every time he tried to knock a ball past someone he failed, he wasnt the only one unfortunately

I agree he got a fair few crosses in .. But he lost the ball so much trying to take a player on when the simple pass was on .. Didn't deserve the [Poor language removed] he was gettin but could of played miles better

He made some mistakes and got caught on the ball too often, but I thought he looked dangerous tonight. He's work in progress in terms of getting up to speed with the Premiership but I like the lad.

I like him.

Didn't he even do a cheeky 'Mcgeady spin' last night?

Del (can't be arsed spelling his name) is starting to do my head in now, never bothers looking up. I'd play geads instead of him from now on.

Up and down game for him.

Hope Blues don't write him off because of that though, he looked better than Mirallas and Deulofeu IMO.

I agree.

He seems to have a better grasp of when to beat a man, when to play it simple and when to cross it in.

A good pre-season will do him the world of good.
