Anyone know if you can plug a wireless Xbox 360 controller using a play and charge kit in to your laptop to use on games? I know you can use a wired pad but I haven't got one of those and don't fancy spending another £25 on one.

Anyone played Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 or Sim City 4? Wouldn't mind a point and click type game such as one of these to pick up and play every now and again. I've played Sim City 4 before but didn't have a clue what I was doing, is it ridiculously hard? I don't seem to play games as much as I did and my Xbox is out of order at the moment so been looking at what I can get on my MacBook (not very much by the looks of it), and they're both on the app store/Steam. There's a game called The Stanley Parable which is supposed to be good. Really don't want an FPS though.
Don't think you can. It doesn't connect your controller to the PC, only the battery kit.
And Monkey Island was a great game. Might not last you more than an hour though.
No, the play/charge thing only carries power, not data.
Only the wired PC ones work. Which I have, and use both for the Xbox and PC, as wireless controllers are great until they need charging![]()
Would recommend RTC 3. Got it, with both expansions. Great fun. You can piss about if you're bored or go as serious as you like with the detail. Sim City is a little bit too repetitive but still a good game.

Dont Starve.
Ah right, cheers lads. I thought that might be the case.
I thought Monkey Island was longer than that!
Cheers mate. I might just get that. I've never played RCT but I used to love Theme Park, Theme Hospital. I think it's up for £14 and it's the 'Platinum' edition, so I'm guessing it'll have one or two or all of those packs? I had Sim City 4 ages ago but didn't have a clue what I was doing. Also I've read reviews and apparently the micro management is ridiculous, like you never get to sit still for a minute. I'd get Football Manager usually but I'm fed up of getting hooked on it.

So good.
But one of the hardest games i've ever played.
Never made it to Day 4 yet!
I've read a little bit about that. I like the look of that game "Rust" as it's the closest thing I can find to Day-Z and I love building stuff and that. I'd need a controller for that though.

@RadioFriendlyUnitShifter will any of the wired pads work or is there a specific PC one? I'm on a Mac too so don't know if that'd make a difference?
