He's a taller John Oster. Was lucky to be at Everton. I'd say he'd be in the 3rd tier in a couple of years but Newcastle have kept Shola Ameobi for his whole career regardless of him being gashness personified.

He was very average but seemed to have a bit of a habit of popping up with important goals. Despite the way he left I can't bring myself to boo him because of the derby goal he scored and the fact that we don't really miss him.

does he ever gte on the pitch for you to get a chance to boo him?

Apart from a couple of minutes last season as a sub for Newcastle the last time I watched him play was probably the man utd game. Not a player I rated and didn't seem too know his best position but as mentioned above he did have a knack of being in the right place at the right time and could posibly have been quite a useful tool if used correctly.

FORMER Brixham schoolboy Dan Gosling, currently with Premier League Newcastle United, has admitted a Football Association misconduct charge in relation to betting rules, according to the BBC.

The FA says the charge concerns "multiple breaches" and that Gosling has requested a personal hearing to answer his case.

The date of the hearing for the 24-year-old has yet to be set.

Gosling is currently back with Newcastle after having a loan spell with Blackpool earlier in the season.

Gosling, described by Everton manager David Moyes as 'one for the future' when he joined the Goodison Park club in 2008, played his early professional football for Plymouth Argyle.

In his home town he played for Brixham United.
