To be fair he was used as a target man in the last game.

That's definitely a natural part of any lone striker's game, but yeah, a few more through balls wouldn't go amiss.

Stunk the place out for three months, not worth any more than 10million although his previous purchase price will dictate that he goes for more than that, but hopefully not to us 1 goal in 3 months he should be apologising for not linking the play up allowing our creative players to create for him.

Anichebe showed him up on Monday.

been concerned about his hold up play for a while. His 2nd touch is a tackle for most of the game.

Hes gonna be completely unplayable one day...but thats about 4/5 years away IMO and we cant afford the ludicrous money it would take to bring him here then wait that long for him to get there.

Need to bring someone in to give him a rest and used as an impact sub for a few games. Sooner the better

To be fair he's got a point, look at the goals he scored last season. He's not a back to goal centre forward, certainly not yet. He needs through balls played in front of him not to his chest/head. You can see his frustration as he screams for the early ball and it never comes. He needs the ball hitting early either over the top for him to run on to or to his feet so he can turn and run

Poor excuse making. He has been poor, period.
It's a combination of him being poor and him getting poor service. His first touch has left a bit to be desired recently, but it's not like he is missing any clear cut chances (bar the header at Norwich) that I can think of.

Has he actually come out and said that though?

He needs to get sorted out if he has. You can't have players coming out and questioning the manager's decisions in public, especially when they're loan players. Ask him about it in person but nothing else.

And if he wants to be the best as he says, he has to adapt his game.

He has the attributes to do more than just play on the shoulder of the defender.

The service has changed for sure, but his hold up play hasn't. It's been terrible most of the season. Having said that, he's 20 and sometimes for bigger players it takes a while to figure that out.

could it be to do with baines coming back? pienaar by instinct looking for the link up with baines instead now instead of playing through balls?

barkley not playing makes a difference of course.

This 100%.

He really shouldn't be mouthing off - but possibly in his mind, he's at a feeder Club who are responsible for developing him, so he's entitled to have a pop? (I know, I know...)

What was it Mourinho said about him? "He likes to speak..."
