yep he hasn't actually done anything wrong himself.....so the FA can't do anything, as much as i'm sure some in the media will want them to.....

the fact so many Liverpool & Man Utd fans are giving out about this (which is samefull in itself if they claim to realise what the quenelle gesture means) shows they're all worried were gonna finish in the top 4......

BACK ON SUBJECT

Lukaku in my opinion did nothing wrong. Theres no way he would be charged for having an opinion about a friend, if he did that gesture during a match then the FA could maybe act. .

He didnt.

Outside of the field of play they have no chance, they arent the police

Anyone, Kopite or not, suggesting Lukaku should be banned is wide of the mark.

merge this with the other one once it's back open, thought i'd start a new one as i found his latest comments pretty interesting

Romelu Lukaku is looking to get back on the Everton goal trail after admitting he is at risk of becoming a "target-man".

The Belgium striker, on a season-long loan from Chelsea, has scored just once in his last nine Premier League appearances.

In his nine league outings before that, the 20-year-old had netted eight times - and he believes a change in his role under Roberto Martinez is the cause for the goals drying up.

Speaking to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, Lukaku said: "It looks like I'm becoming more and more of a target-man.

"That's not my best role. I want to make runs and look for the space in behind defenders.

"Hopefully, that will change. I'll have to make sure I play better in the next games, and create more chances for myself."

Lukaku set up Kevin Mirallas' goal in the 1-1 draw at West Brom on Monday night, and he added: "I was happy that Kevin scored - it was an extra assist for me. That's my fifth one, so I'm doing well. But in the first place, I'm a striker. I want to score goals."

Lukaku also sported a new look in that game at The Hawthorns, having had his dreadlocks cut off.

"Most people say I look younger due to my new haircut," he said. "I'm 20, so I'm a young man. I don't have a reason to change, but it was about time.

"My hair needs to grow a little bit and I'll have to return to the hairdresser a few times. Then you'll see the definite result!"

Up next for Everton is an FA Cup fourth-round tie at League One's bottom club Stevenage, with the Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield following three days later.

Oh dear, that's not good.

Sort it out, Bobby! He surely can't be changing what was a winning exciting side into a laboured slogging drawing side, I blame the injuries.

But still, even with all our injuries is that really an excuse to change the way we feed Lukaku?

Or...this might be a case of "Lukaku talks too much", as per Mourinho's comments...

His first touch, especially if its an attempted layoff is frequently abysmal, but once he's got the ball under his control he's a great player.

I dont think you can blame him for saying that. It pretty much sums up what has been happening. He is always making runs and taking up good positions but he is then not receiving the ball. We can not blame him for others not taking advantage of his runs. Its seems more and more he is only used when we are out of options to pass side to side and then it is fired at him. We need to feed him quicker, when he firsts makes the run, and I am sure he will then be back scoring goals like at the start of the season.

We certainly need to improve the service to him, he looks a shadow of the player from earlier in the season. He makes some great runs which appear to be largely ignored by his team mates. He offers little threat with his back to goal. Maybe Hightower will offer some much needed competition.

Definitely this too.

It's not like he's missing loads of chances.

Stunk the place out for three months, not worth any more than 10million although his previous purchase price will dictate that he goes for more than that, but hopefully not to us 1 goal in 3 months he should be apologising for not linking the play up allowing our creative players to create for him.

Starting to think he's believed the hype. Don't blame the gaffer because you are out of form, it's his awful first touch and complete lack of interest that is doing him in. The latter especially.

In saying that, he does need to be tried to be played in a little more.
