Thing is yeah he was lucky to be on the pitch. But the foul that he was booked for, wasn't even a foul.

agreed. not a foul when he was given a card but given the duncan fergusonesque elbow into turners face - its a moot point anyway.

we shall have to beat the [Poor language removed] without Saha, Fellaini and Yakubu.

To the greater glory of those on the pitch then.

bring em on.

That kick was never a booking and was an absolutely [Poor language removed] call by the referee...

...that said he should have been booked for the elbow in the box in the first half.

I'm kinda wishing he had been so people would get off of Moyes' and Fellaini's back.

It happened. Deal with it. Move on.

The elbow in the mush at the stroke of HT incriminates Moyesie even more. He and his staff should have been aware of what went on there and sent the substitute on from the start of the second half. Someone was asleep at the wheel and we're down one crucial player for two of the most important games of the season.

Ensuring the 3 points were more essential, any boring excuse to have a go at Moyes eh dave:@

I'm a Moyes supporter. I just dont feel the need to defend cretinous decisions.

As for the three points: we had them in the bag at HT.

I know you said all week you wanted Fellaini played from the off. Well now you personally have no room to complain that he was sent off and misses the two biggest games of the season.

He wasnt booked for a silly challenge though, he was booked because the ref was a t*sser. The 3 points were not in the bank, there was always a chance a team who have scored in every away game could have come back at us

Assuming that was the case, it was still clear that Fellaini was a marked man from 14 minutes into the game when he received a last warning. In other words, Moyes should have taken the lad off since it would have been apparent that the referee was going to book him regardless of whether he deserved it.

And possibly lose the match? Not a good idea to be honest. Moyes has come out today and said he was only going to stay on for 15mins in the 2nd as i thought he was going to do to make sure we won the game

I can see the "15 minute" argument, mate. It was a risky one and I would not have taken it. I suppose if Fellaini had popped in a goal, failed to be booked, and then substituted, Moyes would have been totally vindicated.

It's all about risk and strategy at the end of the day. I just feel that we had won the game at half time. Hull were really poor and we dominated everything. There was no reason to believe that they could get back into it.

In saying that, there has been a tendency for us to concede just after half time. I'm pretty sure this would have been on Moyes' mind when he decided Fellaini should start the half. But then this tendency I speak of was earlier on in the season, and we seem to have overcome it as of late.

just checked the fa's punishment and suspensions rule book and it says if a player is book 15 times in a season they get automatic 3 game ban regardless of the april cut off point. so in theory fellaini could be on 14 yellows going away to fulham last game and get booked, he misses the start of next season. which is a very big possibility. it wasn't a freekick but he was warned.
we don't need him for the derby, they can't even beat stoke!!!!!!!!!(y)

at least the big fella is available for the arsenal and man utd games if we want a euro spot this is where we need the points a cup run would be brill but the prem is the bread and butter at least fell is on out for 1 league game which i think is more important

So, Fellaini has served his ban and we have 2 draws at the rs to our name without him.

Thats a point away to league leaders for most of the season and in the draw for 5th round of the cup with a reply at Goodison.

Now Fellaini will be available for the Arsenal and Man U games plus the cup reply.

Did Moyes make the right decision?

Yes we could of won the 2 rs games with him but we could of lost the Hull game without him.

I'd say getting the booking out the way and serving his ban and now being available has paid off.

Well as long as he doesn't go and get a bloody red in the next few games!
