Loan watch

I'm still surprised over how out of left field Browning being a top prospect has been, granted I haven't watched him near enough to form a proper opinion but when I watched one or two games he's featured in last year or the year before he didn't really stand out. It seems like he's really put some effort into improving his game over the past year or two and shown he wants to be a proper player, which suggests he's got a good head on his shoulders meaning he's probably got a good mental side to his game.

To be honest though I can just imagine that Bobby went up to him and said "Tyias, you're going to be ****ing boss. You know that right? Now go and tear the championship apart comprende?" and he just does a Forrest Gump and becomes boss because he was told to be.

...I have to admit to having a similar view, but sometimes things just fall into place. As you say, much of the game is about what is between a players ears and perhaps RM and others have given him a real confidence boost. Saying all of that, the boy is supposed to be a real athlete, and when you have that ammunition its a real help.

Absolutely lightning - it's mad how quick he is, especially for his size. Very strong as well, and can't half time a tackle. Not brilliant in the air, though, which needs to be worked on (I'm sure it will be).
You reckon he's got a good chance of making it Azz? Possibly even a replacement for Distin next season?

Very good chance at centre back, yeah, not as a right back IMO (at Everton anyway). Could see him playing alongside Stones when Jagielka packs in in a few years. Don't reckon he'd be ready next season - I can see him going on loan to the Championship for a full year, maybe Wigan again.

I just can't believe how out of the blue this has all come.

Got to be honest he was tosh then suddenly went boss almost overnight.

Madness.

Sounds exciting about Browning.

Over the last decade you could probably count the really pacy players we've had on the fingers of one hand. There is definitely more pace in the squad now than I can ever remember.

i would prefer wigan to be playing him at centre back. not good enough to be a right back at the top level.

Watched him a few times over the last couple of years, mainly at right back and thought then that he'd make a good centre-back. Doesn't have the confidence on the ball for a full-back in today's game but is a good defender, strong and quick.
