Single malts

I like to collect the odd bottle but like to drink it just as much. Is that the 25 year old? If so bet you are kicking yourself.

I don't get it mate, what's the point in that like?

It'd be like looking at the most wonderful cream cake every time you opened the fridge, but never being able to take a bite......

I love Lagavulin and Bunnahabhain out of all the Islay malts. My wife's cousin John McNIven is one of the main men at Laphroaig distillery. My all time fav is a Speyside malt called Balvenie Carribean cask. Oh feck this, I'm meant to be on my best behaviour but all this has put me in the mood for a Guinness and a large Lagavulin 16:-)

Bunnahabhain is my total all time favourite.

Thanks to a great Xmas and a bit of good fortune I now have bottles of Edradour 10, Laphroaig 10, Glenmorangie 10, Bunnahabhain 12, Springbank 10, Ardbeg Uigeadail and Balvenie Tun 1401 in my cupboard but thanks to having a stinking cold since boxing day which has rendered me unable to taste or smell pretty much anything there is no point in touching a drop of it at the moment. Never tried Edradour or Springbank before either and am dying to.

FFS!

Received a small gift from my employer for Xmas...a 50ml bottle of Glenfarclas 40 Yrs Old. That was the only whisky I received this year, although the missus got me a bottle of Miguel Torres Jaime 1, 30 Yrs old Brandy.

I'm hoping to load up on some single malts in the Duty Free on my way home to NYC in a couple of days

Wish there was a way to know what they will have out there

Buffalo Trace bourbon.

I live 20 miles from their distillery. One of the oldest in the states they do a pretty good tour with a free shot.

What is classic irony though is they rent some of their old buildings too the Kentucky State government department for substance abuse.

I've lived in Kentucky for 6 years and still not done the whole bourbon trail tour yet.
