how can you think liverpool are potential winners and arsenal not? arsenal beat them with pure ease. we drew with arsenal fairly, but would have spanked liverpool if it weren't for a great keeping performance. we ripped through them with will, creating multiple one on one chances.

they also got trounced by hull, whilst arsenal have been to dortmund and won.

This. They are getting far too much credit based on one performance against 10 men, even when it was 11 men they didn't turn up. AVB got sacked because of the performance - you think he'd have been sacked if they played well and lost? They were dire and Liverpool beat them easily, just like we'd have beat Liverpool easily if Mignolet didnt act like the reincarnation of Lev Yashin.

Who else have they beaten really? Utd? Mid-table with a Moyes mindset? Was never in doubt. Take Suarez and Mignolet out of that team and they are bang average.

I'm not getting sucked into this media love in about that lot, they have spanked a couple of mid-table teams and all of a sudden they're title contenders? Heard it all before.

The summary is just ace.

24 April: Banned for 10 games by the Football Association for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic

29 May: Drops a big hint he wants to leave Liverpool by saying he finds life in England hard
12 June: Reiterates his love for Liverpool, but insists life in England is very hard
8 July: Liverpool turn down a £30m bid from Arsenal
24 July: Arsenal offer £40,000,001 for Suarez, believing it triggers a clause in his contract

2 August: Sources say Suarez will consider a formal transfer request and the possibility of court action if dispute with Liverpool is not resolved
7 August: Suarez says he wants to leave Liverpool to join a Champions League side
8 August: Told to train alone by manager Brendan Rodgers, who says the player has shown "total disrespect" for the club.

Now Rodgers is on the radio saying how much Suarez loves Liverpool and always has, and how he epitomizes what its like to be a Liverpool player (not wrong there), whilst offering a new contract putting him far and away on the highest wage in the clubs history lol.
You can do what you want to their image if you score goals... Biting, racism, cheating, diving, injuring opponents, they won't care.
Their morality and dignity has been replaced by a weird bitter desperation to be noticed again as a big club regardless of the means to do it, and in doing so they make themselves look smaller than bad results ever could.
Liverpool of old, would not of been bullied and mocked by a player the way they have been by Suarez.

They've always had selective memories

Mate, they're 2nd

I don't think they'll win the title, but by definition you'd have to at least accept them as being contenders right at this moment

Solomon Grundy has had a bash at explaining why the blue wreath was disrespectful, unfortunately he isnt the sharpest tool in the box and comes up with this, frankly ludicrous, explanation...

It is a symbol of the blood(which is without doubt RED, unless your an alien) that was shed by fallen soldiers in the Great War and every conflict since. And the fact that you can't bring yourselves to present a wreath of RED poppies just because they're the same colour of that club across the park that many of you can't even bring yourselves to say the name of(sad bastards), is why we see it as tasteless and disrespectful. Colour should never even enter your thoughts on an occasion like that. But it has and that's really sad. What's even sadder is that none of you have realised how sad that it is yet.

The poppy was chosen as the symbol of the fallen because it was the flower that grew in the killing fields of the First World War.

I feel I have improved you, Mr Grundy, but it is the season of goodwill so i don't want any thank yous or presents etc. Just accept my lesson and remember it next time you're about to embarrass yourself. :)

When did this become an issue? Rememberence Sunday was over a month ago.

And its the thought that counts.

The act of Rememberence.

Plus as far as I'm aware blue poppys is not political. Its because OUR CLUB PLAYS IN BLUE.

Therefore double the sign of respect.

I remember a couple/few seasons ago, we were top of the league at Christmas? Did I count us as title contenders, nope.

We have had the harder fixtures, up to right now - if and when they've played their next 3 and are still above us I'll count them in but otherwise I'd have to say no I think mate. Chelsea and City are a different ball game to a half arsed Spurs and toothless Moyes Utd.

Remember being 3rd or 4th but no higher.

Fair point you make, we'll know more about them after those games. Same goes for us in fairness - our issue has been drawing games when we should win them, not getting points off the big boys. We need 7 points minimum from the next 3 games.

This is like an inter school fight between 11 year olds. "They said" "but he said" "not having that".

Come on, I'd cringe myself to death if we were honestly having forumwarZ.

Is right.

Be the more respected set of supporters - don't respond. Otherwise you're basically being popcorned.
