Tbh I think that any club who have used a massive tragedy in there history as a way of deferring attention from one of there players being scum (ala hillsborough after Suarez biting) need to remeber them selfs when talking about other teams being cring worthy eh.

Wasn't that the same week that Anne Williams passed away? Shouldn't that garner more attention than the Suarez affair?

Yeah I know that what upsets me so much about it, they blatantly tried to use her death as a shield for Suarez. Even a few of my red mates say it was disgraceful.

Mate, I dislike them as much as the next man, but I'm not having this. Her death got the respect it deserved, end of really. Should they have ignored it and concentrated on condemning Suarez?

Personally I think it shows that the club have made an effort, it shows that the club have actually taken the time to think about it and went to the trouble of having a custom wreath made up - which to me honours the servicemen more than a standard ready made red wreath.

But if they want to think we're making it all about us, whatevs.

They're a good side. No coincidence to me that Arsenal and Liverpool are the top two sides currently. They're the two sides who had some continuity this summer and were able to strengthen what they already had. Of the top 7 sides in the country, the other 5 all had significant upheaval - either with a new manager or a significant change in playing staff.

I'd expect Man City and Chelsea to improve as the season goes on. They've both been patchy but are still right up there. We're in the mix, but I'd say Liverpool have to be favourites for the top 4 - Suarez is a big difference. We have nobody of his quality. Don't think they're much better other than that though - a Liverpool/Everton XI would be fairly even in terms of the players from each side.

Thought it was laughable the way some people on here we're dismissive of their win against Spurs. That put down quite a marker for me.

Good grief if laying a blue wreath is the biggest disgrace to our club I'd take that every day of the week over that shower across the park.

From shunning shankley to heysel to Munich chanting to racism defending and all that's in between on and off the field, Liverpool football club have a hell, an abundance, a collossal amount more to be ashamed of.

But of course, anything bad said about the club, anything against the players or fans must be shut down immediately.

how can you think liverpool are potential winners and arsenal not? arsenal beat them with pure ease. we drew with arsenal fairly, but would have spanked liverpool if it weren't for a great keeping performance. we ripped through them with will, creating multiple one on one chances.

they also got trounced by hull, whilst arsenal have been to dortmund and won.

They're really not all that.

When we've all played the same games at the half way point, it's highly likely we'll be at least level with them.

If they can get 3 or 4 points from Chelsea and City I might revise my opinion of them, but even then I wouldn't be surprised if they cocked it all up.

Always more than one way of looking at these things. We certainly were the better team in that game, particularly in the 2nd half - but they missed practically an open goal which would have put them 3-1 up. Personally doubt we'd have come back from that.

Not a fan of "what ifs"

6th at worst IMHO if they fade away a bit

My money would be on 4th the way things are at the moment. Plenty of time for that to change
