The blue wreath is a stupid idea, somebody at the club clearly went overboard with the whole 'The Blues' aspect of Everton with that. Remembrance day is about remembering fallen soldiers, and trying to transcribe any part of the club's identity onto the wreath or poppy is weird, imo.

do you get to Goodison often mate? Fail to see how anyone could have a go at the club for such a ridiculous reason had they witnessed some of the tributes the club has put on the last few years.

I agree with this

90% of my mate are Kopites and not one of them act like some of the clowns on that site, There mental and your point about it having so many people on there is prob the reason, For every sound poster theres 100 to swallow him up

Yeah the other kopite forums are a lot better, that site is the busiest so attracts the more casual fan who doesn't really know how to comport himself so just acts...hmm let's just cal it 'wacky' to try to fit in; other newcomers see this behavior and try to outdo it, more newcomers see this extra wackiness etc.

please. I agree that the blue poppy idea is a tad weird, but in no way was it disrespectful. We have blue santa etc, kopites are just trying to find any little thing to nit pick at us with. The families of the fallen 96 know how respectful we are in such instances and we do every remembrance professionally, so shut it you ****s.

They complained because there were Blue Santas running the Santa Dash in town.

Miserable lot, Always looking for something to pin as 'BITTERZZZZZ' on.

Koff.

Tbh I think that any club who have used a massive tragedy in there history as a way of deferring attention from one of there players being scum (ala hillsborough after Suarez biting) need to remeber them selfs when talking about other teams being cring worthy eh.

Trouble is, kopites are notoriously oblivious to things like that. They literally have no sense of irony whatsoever.

On the poppy thing I can see why the club did it but did any other club do a similar thing in regards to club colours on a wreath?

Doesn't matter if anyone else did it or not, the point of the poppies is to remember.

We supported the sentiment, the poppies were of club colours, simple. Nowhere states that they must be red.
