I'll put a few more on shortly.

There's some in my football diary thread in the ale house

We just weren't good enough, it was a solid 35 minutes, but we were badly struggling towards the end of the first half, and needed to go in level big time.

Colemans a [Poor language removed] for ruining the shape of the team by stupidly arguing with Negredo, if you're gonna square up to him, at least go down like a sack of ****, that would of got the referee to stop play, and stopped the second goal.

I felt Naismith and McCarthy played well, Naismith just isn't a 90Minute player. Osman is just dog****, why keep playing him, Gibson, Barry and Pienaar all back will mean this **** doesn't have to play again. No faulting his commitment, just a crap player!

that would have been worse ( i hate f*****s who go down for nothing)

secondly howard plus distin then all went to get involved when they dint need it so it was actually the 3 of them that were all out of sorts for that goal

Yeah, all goals are preventable. Negredo and Aguero's goals happened in a flash. Distin and Coleman both could have anticipated a little better, if we're being highly critical, but we certainly should have done much better with the passes that lead to the goals. We were either too far away or we jockeyed rather than getting close and making them rush a pass. They had too much time to get their head up and time the pass with the run.

u nailed it.....as said previously it was a wake up call for a lot of players expecting to be given as much time as they want on the ball

a major difference yesterday was they closed down the man in possession we mimicked that action all day( i.e barkley marking nasri in our corner )

hmmm...

....Osman is one of the first 3 names to go down on the playing team sheet. Not saying I agree, but that's is how it is.

As the coach of the All Blacks once said (after a rare poor performance) : "we'll flush this result down the dunny and move on". Spurs had a shocker today (at home) and Arsenal drew. If we can beat Hull we will have an identical points position as at game 8 last year (which was a great opening tbh). So, let's regroup and move on.

At least two very poor refereeing decisions aside, thought we were thoroughly beaten tbh. It's a shame, because as good as City were I'd hoped that we would have at least matched them in most areas tbh. Bit of an off day for the players.

......yep, we've got Man City away out of the way and are 4 points off top. Not too bad. On reflection, many teams are much of a muchness, City seem to be in 3rd gear and would be my fancy to win it but I don't feel we are worst than last season despite having a new manager and being in a period of transition. So far so good and better than I thought after the first few games.

...also saw manu U vs Sunderland. Their Belgian teenager Janusaj (??) is a fabulous player. He is also a filthy little toe rag with his deliberate fall in the box.

...and Southampton thus far have only leaked 2 goals!...interesting game next for them vs Manure at OT.

Incredibly important we do not think Hull is an easy 3 points (they aren't). In this league, results are so much about players 'top two inches'. Mental preparation/fitness is SO important. No team should be taken as an easy beat. Suspect Spurs fell into that trap with West Ham (who actually played very well and were well worth the 3 points)

Well, I haven't bothered to read through this thread so I'll just say this.

The fact that we didn't play our best doesn't gloss over the FACT that Everton were hard done by the referee. Lukaku's shove in the box not given for us and then Zabaleta's dive given and it easily could have been a draw. And who knows from there.

Yeah, City were better in the final third and created more chances but that's not to say Everton didn't deserve anything after the non-call and then call. I'm not even going to go into Milner's tackle.

I'm waiting for the day where the referee has a shocker in our favor. Hasn't happened yet.
