This smells of knife to a gunfight, regardless of how much their team cost, we have dicked them everywhere over the years, today wasnt about money, today we just never really got going, far to many players off their games, Barks, Mirallas, Lukaku to name a few.

Few players really impressed, McCarthy was superb, ref was a pyar bellend, hopefully he will be in League One shortly, but even they dont deserve him, hes not the reason we lost tho, we lost cos we didnt turn up, but we move on, bring on Hull.

It is quite funny seeing so many people accept defeat against a good team away from home when that was one of the main sticks to beat Moyes with.

Why the hack all our players just stand there instead of tracking their players. We are very luck to concede only three goals today.

exactly this ....its a wake call we badly needed

players like barkley, deflo miralles need to cop on to the fact that they will get marked out of a game if they think they just have to show up

Yes, the ref was against us, and yes our defense could have been better, but we lost against a better team who simply played better than us and deserved to win. Losing away to City is not the end of the world. In fact it's no surprise as they might be the best team in the country at the moment.

Let's come out of the international break without any injuries, and we've got four pretty winnable matches against Hull (H), Villa (A), Spurs (H), and Palace (A) coming up. The future looks bright. COYB.

Also, I might have dislocated my shoulder when i celebrated Lukaku's goal.

Hmm, well city pretty good value for at least a 2-1 win, penalty pisses me off but that's the way they go away from home, most worrying thing really for me was Miralas who was dire pretty much all game and tbh was outclassed by Naismith who despite people complaining has had a pretty good game for the most part and was solid when cleaning up for our defence which is certainly why he started this game.

Also judging Kone when the rest of out players have all but given up might be a little harsh although to be fair he hasn't shown us anything at all yet.

Concerned we can't put two decent halves together. We were very decent for 20-30 minutes and unfortunate with some ref decisions. 2nd half we were outplayed. Too many games where one half of boss or decent play has petered out. But still in transition I guess.

We were poor second half but their penalty killed the game, i'd love someone to explain how that was a pen but the one on Lukaku wasn't, baffled.

They've been clearly the better side today. Take away the penalty that never was and it's still a comfortable 2-1 win. The problem was conceding the equalizer so quickly. Our goal came somewhat against the run of play and had we held the lead longer, who knows. As it was, drawing level within a minute gave them all the impetus.

give us the pen we should have had and the ref rightly should have stopped play to sort coleman and negrdo out, we'd be going in 2-1 up, not conceding a goal just before HT and with our heads down. considering how much their team costs, it was hardly a dominant performance as it should be. Silva also should have got his yellow and he wouldn't have been able to constantly getting away with breaking up our attacks in the second half. It's no coincidence that city finally started to be the better team once the decisions started to go there way!

That's nothing to do with every one of his touches going 10 yards in the air, though. Or his back pass of a shot.

Baines was pretty ****e today, our defence was all over the shop but we have to give City credit for the way they played today. Too many players didn't turn up.
