I am absolutely made up with our dealings..keeping Bainsey was crucial and getting Lukaku is amazing BUT i am more convinced now more than ever than Moyes has had a bigger part and has been responsible for our club's lack of ambition in the market over the years.

Over the years we have heard many excuses, money, permits, cudnt get it over the line in time etc but Man Utd have witnessed a really poor and knee jerk window at a time when a new manager has come in, they have an ageing squad and have had their poorest start for 20 years... this window was and should of been a statement of intent in light of the above... and what happened, they paid over the odds for a target they wanted early in the window, they lost out on numerous other targets and they have let the competition dirtectly around them strengthen.

I really believe that again Moyes has has a major factor in this, with his lack of conviction and trying to get the club the best deal, but again this has backfired.

People may challenge this and blame woodward but to me this stinks of the moyes impact.

I for one, as a club would never deal with them again if possible and will be happy when he is sacked future...

Good post, blueboy.

For years we have blamed Kenwright for making Moyes look foolish in the transfer window,

Yet the first transfer window in the post Moyes era shows a new, pro-active, dynamic Everton operating in a positive way.

Contrast that with the dithering over in Manchester.

And once more another person, this Woodward chap, is held to be the main culprit.

I'b be worried if I were a Manc.

I'd rather not criticise Moyes in the transfer market, given that the bloke is quite clearly an absolute genius in it. The situation at United was that he didn't have the gravitas to attract big name players to the club and their new exec in charge of transfers was a complete novice. At Everton he was so good that an argument could easily be made to crown him the greatest transfer market manager of all time.

Let's not rewrite history - there's a good hundred or so genuine reasons to bash the bloke with.

I'm getting fed up of hearing bitter everton fans criticise Moyes just because he decided to leave us for utd. He done a superb job here and anyone who tries to spin it any other way is lying to themselves

The mancs seem convinced the problem with their summer is their new chief executive Edward Woodward. Hes the one who negotiated the deals and offered the stupid low fees. No one is blaming Moyes for it. Some of you are just looking for any excuse to say Moyes is **** so you feel better about him not being our manager anymore

Are we really meant to believe that an account called "nevilleneville" that signed up to GOT within the last three days, calls Evertonians bitter and defends Moyes isn't a WUM?

Back to your own clubs forums you go lad.

i think players like to go on a pitch to enjoy and play football not defend and just tackle for 90 mins.Martinez is attracting players as he wants his team to get the ball keep it and play nice football. The players will always come to a club what do that,This is just the start as when the so-called bigger players in europe see how we play thet will want to come. With everton stating that the McCarthy deal was made without the fellaini money we should have plenty of money in january to go out and get a couple of wow signings, then we will go higher higher and i can't wait.coymt

While i want to be optimistic...i wouldnt go that far.

We got 3 lads in just before the deadline whilst spouting b0llocks the McCarthy deal didnt hinge on Fellaini.

If it didnt then why in the name of god did we put Whelan in such a strong position and get taken the cleaners over McCarthys fee?

We should have done it weeks ago. Lukaku will have been last minute as will Barry.

Agree to a certina extent with the post - Moyes was a good apologist for Kenwright and the best ally a chairman without a pot to pi55 could have hoped for. Kenwright loved him for it and rewarded him handsomely
