Transfer Window Assessment

I dont give neg rep so here is some pos rep. You are miles wrong though. Enjoy Everton - you only get so long on this earth. Stop the hate it does your health no good. Coach

There is no hate. Without the Lukaku loan people would be going mad at how we have failed to spend more than half the Fellaini money and used it to spend yet another Wigan player. People are getting caught up in the excitement, which is fair enough, but you couldn't call it an ideal transfer window.

We have massive cover through the centre, probably a bit weak on the wings and now up front we have 3 complete different options, regardless of what people think of Kone and Jela its options that can change a game.

Good transfer window

I was bricking it with a couple of hours to go when it seemed as though we were going to do little or nothing. A sense of relief with getting them 3 in and to get Lukaku could prove to be a masterstroke.

I had to laugh at Jim Whyte hanging up the phone with "someone from Everton claiming the McCarthy deal was not dependant on the sale of Fellaini", i'm fairly certain it was.

We should have funds in January if needed, should.

We can't spend all the money we raise on player sales as we run an operating loss and have no further viable sources of funding.

Until we're operating at break even or better this will continue to be the case.

As much as I love Felli I honestly thought he looked out of sorts under Martinez, he just didn't seem to know what he was supposed to be doing in the system. Moyes has dropped a massive bollock by paying £4m over for a player

I think also, that Bob wasn't too arsed fitting him into the system as he was nailed on to leave. I think felli is the reason that Bobs peed off with the window as, until he went, he can't set his team up as he would like.

I really don't understand why people are so quick to knock McCarthy, the kid is a top player and will only improve at Everton. On three occasions he dominated Everton last season. He will win it, intercept it, track runners and pass it on easily allday long so are attacking players can play. Can't think of a better young player to protect Barkley
The wigan fans don't seem impressed with mate, but i'm happy we signed him, abit expensive but we got extra off Man u.

Kenwright has been accused of being a soft touch in the transfer market but he's played hard-ball here very effectively. While we have paid over the odds for McCarthy we have got more than most of us expected for Fellaini and Anichebe. Most importantly we stood up to United and Moyes, we kept Baines and forced them to pay £4m above the release clause that expired last month for Fellaini. It has made them look stupid, add on the fact that Fellaini submitted a transfer requestbonuses and we've pocketed a significant sum that probably would have gone in loyalty bonuses.

would barry feel a bit weird if we request he wears an afro wig ?

Did the fact Lukaku was a loan sign signing make any of his 17 goals for West Brom less valuable?

Not at all but what happens if he does something similar for us this year then leaves? It all hinges on us having a big positive net spend over the next couple of transfer windows otherwise we're left with Kone and Jelavic as our front pairing.

That was the case before the new TV money brought in an extra 30 million pound a season, we are no longer making a loss, and won't until we spend an extra 20 million pound a season.
