Young international, high chance of going to the world cup. We paid 15m for him. Could rightly claim to have improved him.

How many clubs have bid for Wayne Rooney this summer? As far as we know, only Chelsea, and wasn't it 30m at most in the second bid? that's not much more than our structured deal that we sold him for. Is he world class despite two bids from one club? I'd say so.

Do I think he is worth 25m? Maybe, not 100% convinced, would sell him for that, sure. Do I think McCarthy is worth anymore than 8m? No, I don't.
