The fight for 5th place

I know you agreed but you said once they start performing.

When they do start performing, i still feel we won't have a balanced midfield at all and can be over run and exploited big time.

I don't think Moyes rates Castillo at all.

When we got Arteta in, yobo in, Pienaar in(on loans), and Lescott and Yak they hardly started for the first 8-10 games and I thought the same then. They attained their places rightly so.

I hope this could be the same as Castillo. I have seen the bloke play a few times and a big thumbs up from me. I hope he can click for us. The midfield would be deadly then.

Alan Hansen looks like a poet, whenever he keeps his mouth shut!

I said that we'd be lining up for top 7/8 finish.

looking at the other contenders, only Villa is keeping up the pace. City is too inconsistent, for now. Spurs look like [Poor language removed] and only started to get something out of the matches. Blackburn is not up there either.

honestly, looking at things I have hope on repeating the last season finish, but maybe I'm just lifting my feet off the ground.

I don't think hes been injured at all over these past few weeks.

Moyes clearly doesn't rate him and has probably been working on a few sessions one to one with him, working on his positioning, discipline and hopefully giving him a lecture about getting stuck in. Hopefully he has anyway.

I don't think he does rate him.

He's been fit for two games now and he hasn't been used. Moyes has actually chosen a 17 year old before him.

He's probably just come to boost the midfield numbers to be honest. From what I saw he wans't a bad player but there where question marks over his positioning.

I'd like to see him given a go in a team with confidence, that would be easier to judge. I don't think Moyes thinks much of him though.

Until boro beat them today. If we beat boro next week and villa lose to the gooners then we are level. Amazing how fast things change at the start.

To hell with all the forecasting, speculating, in truth there is no substitute for winning.

As for Castillo, he does not play the Moyes way of football. He has not yet learnt hoofball.

Its all about points at this stage we need to be picking them up to be in the mix in the new year, i dont care how just get them, i have a feeling our home form will return!

Given the poor start (oh to have signed the player or two in the summer..who knows what would have been if they'd have a proper pre season) i think 5th will just be to much for us

Spurs will come back strong though they're not going to be anywhere near the top 5 either, its Villa who as other have said the main contender against us..cant see man city doing much yet, though i expect that to change next season when they've wafted thier cheque book at all and sundry.

So for me at least going off the latest form i will revise my prediction of a top 10 finish to a solid seventh place,6th if the winds in the right direction.
