How many fans do we have around the world?

In the 60s you could not move, get in the pub after and bet on the gate and no matter how packed it was never officially a full house I was there against Burnley one Xmas time and it was given at something around 70,000 yet it was only slightly more empty a few games earlier and was 45,000 so I am convinced there was a fiddle ,I knew a gate in the street end were the guy would let two through at once for a small consideration

those gates were the best ones, there was even one at wembley. if you take a kid (toddler) do they make you buy a seat or can you get away with carrying them through, its not like a kid under 6 is gonna pay much attention tbh, i know chris(danny's neighbour) bought a season ticket for his lad who is about 4.

My mates mum used to serve tea in the paddock and her son and I would wait until kick off and this old chap used to reopen the gate and let us in but if it was a big game we had to pay:lol:

I don't think we're that well supported around the world - maybe we will start getting more supporters now we are employing more foreign players - this will expand even more as we get bigger and bigger names at the club

at the moment, I reckon china, australia, nigeria and america are our best bets for foreign fans.

Completely off-topic but what the [Poor language removed] are those lights for at Goodison now? (check the webcam)

don't know where the webcam is but sounds like you mean lights on the pitch?? They'll be there to force the grass to grow quicker by extending their "sunlight" hours.

If that's what you're on about

Just asked and he did live in Cape Town. He went there with most of his family, apparently there were a few blues over there at the time.

As I ve said before, the only Everton shirts I see over here are worn by people who speak English like what I do. Loads of rs (obviously), some manure and most people like watching Arse (who doesn't?). May be some more in the Basque country given the Arteta connection, though most Real Sociedad fans will have fonder (and more) memories of Xabi Alonso. Probably get more change out of older Athletic Bilbao fans (There was one on site once) who remember Kendall.

looks like they're on all night, they're on now at 1.37am...obviously because of the [Poor language removed] awful weather we've been having, maybe to try and grow the grass to stop united playing their stuff and we can cntinue with our long ball nonsense

Not many, well as far as I know just me, where I live in the States. Everyone who keeps up with the EPL here are either Man U, Arsehole, RS, or Chelski fans.

I met [Poor language removed] loads in Edmonton, Canada when I went over. Quite a few in Croatia also to be honest. China has recently seen a lift in us also. Hopefully I am going to Chile next year so I will tell you about there also. Me and a mate are thinking of making a drunken pilgrimage to see the "Ruleteroos" and pass on our fondest regards.

Just in case you have been dead and don't know who they are then check it out, and maybe we can make it a GoT Pilgrimage.

My deepest sympathies go with you mate. That sounds painful.

I have no idea how many of us are out there, but I'm proud to say I'm one.

Here in the states, the big 4 are enormous. While I'd guess maybe 40% of americans could name a single EPL team, I would guess only 5% could even name one other than the big4... and that is just NAMING a team, much less being a fan.

Of all my friends, I have one who's favorite team isn't big 4 - and it is fulham (specifically due to mcbride and the experiment with the americans last year). having an international on the team REALLY helps getting a fan base in that country. (Timmy played a part for me). I was really hoping we'd sign michael bradley or pick up clint dempsey for that reason. No sense in signing americans for the fun of it, but those 3 are 3 of our top 5 players, so that would be worth it IMO...

Oh it is. Luckily I have a group of friends that follow the league religiously. They're fans of: 1 Newcastle, 1 Villa, 1 Chelski, 1 Arsehole, 3 Tottenham, and 1 RS. But the RS fan doesn't know a thing about football so I don't get pissed about it..except when I'm drunk.

No matter what your zip/post code, no matter your nationality, creed, colour, religion, one thing stays a constant.

The worlds economy could crash, but at least we all that that one thing will never change.

This unites the world.

here in the DC area, i can't say there are a lot of blues.

what i did find encouraging though, is my neighbor (who's probably around 14 now), said he and his best friend are everton fans, most likely because of yakubu's success last season. once we start winning more games, and especially making it to those highlight reels, we'll gain more fans amongst the younger generations
