Just look at Moyes signings up front, Who above us would have battled it out with us for Beckford,Jelavic,Johnstone,Beattie or Yak

Theres some on here knocking Martinez for going back to his old club for a player he likes, I dont see the problem,He knows the lad and how he works,what hes like in training etc plus he knows the league

I stand by my comment that if he had signed some lad we had never heard of from La Liga most would be bouncing watching clips on you tube and convincing everyone hes signed the next Messi

Maybe, but that's just the way it works if you sign a player from a relegated club who's an okay season. You can't expect the majority of people to be enamored by it.

I hope he goes onto do really but can't help but feel he's a temporary solution to a long term problem. If there really are ambitions to finish in the top 6 again then you're going to need a better forward line than Jelavic, Anichebe and Kone.

Our major issue last year was not putting chances away. We didnt kill games off. Kone, with our midfield should do better. It also means we can rotate strikers more. Its not ideal but its not a bad idea if yet again we are working with financial constraints.

we could do though if RM utilisted his resources, we didnt have any money last season but moyes flogged the deadweight (rodwell, yobo, cahill) which funded moves for one quality signing (mirallas) and 1/2 other lower signings, we should sign Bony with his transfer budget then flog deadweight (heitinga, jelavic, gueye, maybe even naismith) and use the £10-12 mil from those sales to bring in 2-3 players like Fer, Alcaraz even Kone as a squad player etc.
