Maybe he'll turn out to be quite the player, however it seemed like a panic buy. A 6M player we paid 15M for just because we could.

Im sure Moyes said he wasnt signed as a replacement to Lee Carsley, he was signed to play more of an attacking role?

It looks that way dont it? I mean, with the Barcodes game and the derby he was involved in lot of the attacks and was in the box plenty.

I cant remember a time Lee Carsley ever ventured into the box.

So why aint Moyes playing the only DM that actually looks like he could pull it off well in Castillo?

have been wondering that myself.

taught castillo looked good the games i saw him play in.

think felliani will come good but fans need to be patient.

he looks like hes improving every game he plays.

LCAB good to see you posting again mate!

As for Fellini, I like him but as with a lot of people im expecting him to do an awfull lot more. The thing that gaurding my judgement presently is hes only 20 we cant judge him the same way as we would a 34-26 year old as hes still so young. His game should improve a lot. I was impressed with him yesterday he was a nuisance his height, awkwardness and to an extent dogedness cleraly brings something to the play. It looked like he received some coaching in the past copuple of weeks because his running into space and making himself available was a lot better then in previous games, he also looked more confident. I think he is a box to box midfileder and he has a greaty enging. That said i think he could up his pace a little, improve his fittness and be more tenacious in closeing down the defensive part of his game could be more crisp.

He kept the plsy ticking over yesterday and kept possession well which is something we have bemoaned in the past form CM, ok a lot of his balls were the safety frist option and his passing werent what we had seen at times from the likes of Fernandes but it was certainly effective, I liked the way he shouted at other players about where and how to pass it cenrally it was like that area of the pitch was his. Showed good leadership. Again he still adjusting.

For me he stills needs a lot of coaching, work on his fittness but he has the natural attributes and time to justify his price tag. At 20 he has been good enough thus far.

There's a lot of players out there we could've just bought for cheap. I think Moyes sees something in him that he really wanted, he did give props to the board for bagging him when the transfer window closed.

But in context look at Spurs. Bentley, Modric, Pavluchenko, Woodgate...all look like they're worith 5mill never mind 10+mill but all are internationals any team would like to have in their squad.

Was watching the Chelsea game last night and how awesome Lampard was for them as they destroyed Villa. Reminded me that when Chelsea 1st bought Lampard the fans thought he was dog [Poor language removed], winner of their worst player of the season 2 seasons in a row. Now look at him.

He seems like a decent player but i just don't know what his position is at the moment?

a lot of his passes do go backwards which tbh we need the exact opposite at the moment.
please try to write in 'normal' english lcab as this text speak is just too difficult to work out.

I thought it was the spelling:lol::lol:but I do believe some people are looking too much at the cost instead of the player,he never said Im worth 15 mill the clubs did.(y)

His heading has definatly improved since he has been here but his tackling sure as hell hasn't. His idea of tackling seems to be stand behind the guy with the ball and kick him in the legs!

Was certainly playing quite forward yesterday although he doesn't seem to have the creative skills you want from an central mid, but doesn't have the defensive skills of a DM.

His biggest problem is the price tag hanging around his neck. Everyone expects so much from him because of what we paid. It's not his fault that the tag is £15 million, to my knowledge he's never been the big 'I am' in Belgium and was as surprised as anyone else when EFC offered big bucks for him.

Every time he makes a mistake that £15 million tag will be pointing at him in neon lights. I heard plenty of stupid comments in the LGS yesterday about him not being worth it.
Well, let's give him a chance. I think he's showed some good signs and the goal will have done him the world of good.
He had THE biggest smile on his face when he scored - it looked like it really meant something to him. I noticed how virtually every player went to him. Judging by what someone said on another thread, he's already very popular on the training ground.
I think he'll do okay once he's got a few more games under his belt.

Won't take long for him to come good. I reckon around Christmas time he'll be cruisin' around doing bits of skill. I like him already though, he's cool.
