i was in liege and have to say i was truly ashamed with some of our so called supporters behaviour. from throwing drinks over innocent passers by, to storming the gates from people with no tickets was behaviour that we have slammed others about for a long time.starting fights with the home supporters and then crying to police when it doesnt go your way is truly cowardly.people will point the finger at local police being heavy handed and trigger happy but this was far from the case. i travelled with my 6yr old son and can do nothing but praise the locals and their police force for making it a memorable day allround untill socalled everton supporters ruined it. i personnally witnessed female stewards being assaulted by 40-45yr old men forcing their way into the ground. people will say that the ground didnt have turnstiles thus making it more apealling for ticket less fans to gain entry but that is no excuse for what went on.the commotion and panic that prevealed tragically left 1 man dead and many mentally scarred for a long time. the sight of scruffy drunken old men playing the role of the pied piper to gangs of wannabe football hooligans was embarrasing to say the least. if 80% of these phonies were to be confronted by a group of any more than 3 they would disapear faster than you can imagine. i personnaly left the ground 10 minutes into the match because i could get nowhere near my seat (for which i had a ticket) due to over crowding and general poor behaviour by evertonians in this section yet we have the audasity to call liverpool fans gobshites at every opportunity!! i traveld to several of our european aways last season and have never witnessed this sort of shameless plassy hard knock behaviour before but apparently it is creeping in on a weekly basis at our away games.dont get me wrong iam no do- gooder or shrinking violet and have been involved at skirmishes at football grounds myself, some things are unavoidable but this was just mindless drunken scumbags ruining it for others.

Hmmm....

Strange. We've had Liege fans come on here saying Evertonians were fantastic...

As we did from fans of every other away European side last year.

iam a parkend season ticket holder.why would you say iam a kopite? is it because everton fans dont act this way?bullshit! i know what myself and many others saw

Howcome there's nothing on any site (minus Bluekipper) about the Everton fan having a heartattack? Just wondering, thought the OS might have mentioned it, pay tribute to him.

as for - "we have the audasity to call liverpool fans gobshites at every opportunity!!"

Well... some pockets of our fans aint saints but liverpool fans are still gobshites either way. Their kill count abroad is higher so they are nasty gobshites.

granted it is a small minority but still shamefull all the same.I've no problem with people fighting with people that are going to fight back, but chinning a female steward to get in with no ticket is a shithouse trick no matter who you are

you [Poor language removed] well should do

Even I can see that this is a kopite windup.

Logs on to GOT only for his debut post to be about those "bad" Evertonians.

Funny as Danny mentioned it but the Liege supporters said we were well behaved.

Yet an "Evertonian" comes on and says we were scum of the earth.

Get lost red.

unfortunatley i can believe every word neb is saying we have alot of horrible little [Poor language removed] following this club, i had the misfortune of running into a few of them at an away game a couple of seasons ago thinking they ruled the away end. i ended up giving one of them a clump and in true style his mates didnt really want any of it either.

[Poor language removed] little cowardley shitbags!!!

Wasn't BlueLou also talking about something like this after the Brann game?

Don't know about BlueLou but I went to Brann and to Firenze and yes there was a minority of people who you could say, let the side down.
I enjoy a drink like most people but some of these guys and a few women too, were so drunk they couldnt stand up. I averted my eyes :( whilst a bloke who was very drunk pissed himself because he couldnt open his trousers in time. Bear in mind he was standing next to me in the corner at Brann. I don't have photos but yes, it did happen!

Violence? yes, at Fiorentina, some of our own fans had no regard for anyone, - push, shove and kick out. The cops were antagonistic in the extreme but some of our own idiots just wound them up which hardly helped. There's always two sides to the story and the authorities were not blameless but drunken idiots squaring up to police officers armed to the teeth was always going to cause a bit of bother!

Football games are not vicar's team parties, I don't have any sort of problem with the language or the banter but I don't expect to see the sort of behaviour I've seen at the away matches.
Funny how I never see it in the LGS where all the scallies (like me?) are supposed to be.

Having said all that it is always a minority who spoil it with their obnoxious behaviour. It's not clever to piss yourself and it's not clever to create an atmosphere of fear at the games.

If anyone comes on here and says 'if you don't like it, stay away', well, that's exactly what I've done, I didnt go to Liege because after Florence I said never again.
Is it right though that ordinary fans like me stop going because a minority of people behave like total morons? There's no excuse for it and eventually away matches will be no go zones for anyone who isn't into a good fight or getting totally smashed.
