Git or get?

Which is best: git or get?

I prefer "get" myself but when I moved down south about 20 years ago everyone said "git", so I sort of cottoned onto to that. Now I'm back to good old "get" again. Top insult: stupid get!

i dont use either, i just say "Stupid ****"...but if i had to choose i would go wiith Git

That might explain why it is used only around the Merseyside and Manchester areas. It might have stemmed from Irish immigration. I grew up with "get" but found that "git" was the term everyone else used outside of my home area.

In parts of northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, 'get' is still used in preference to 'git'.
