The best team

A high quality fullback.

He's decent and he does a reasonable job there, I thought he played well against Stoke but there's no doubting alot of the time he's the current weak link in the side. Not an awful weak link but the least gifted player in our starting eleven without a doubt. The player who is the most likely to knock the ball over our midfield instead of playing to there strengths.

At the moment though I'd say he's the best fullback at the club by a little bit, there isn't a massive difference between him and Hibbert despite what people say.

We should be looking at a younger more athletic fullback in the summer, a more rounded fullback.

Sound that.

Cahill proved on sunday why he should be 1 of the 1st names on the sheet. He is a born winner and somebody we have badly missed while he has been injured. He also has the great knack of popping up with winners when we need it most.

Understand your point totally. That's why I find Cahill the most doubtful. I wouldn't consider him to play behind the striker because I don't think he's creative enough. But he doesn't seem to play with so much impact on the wings. Having a clear knack for goals and for the big occasion, that messes things a bit, but clearly he can only play over there in the hole or in a line of 3 in the middle.

I'd pick Arteta to play there, but since Arteta can play on the wings and also Osman or Pienaar, I guess Cahill's has to play combining his leadership qualities and goals with the skill and vision of Arteta and the outstanding ability Osman has to appear in the right place for some more goals. Osman looks skillfull to me also and versatile, being able to play in the middle or on the wing. I'd put Osman to battle Pienaar for a place in the team and I'd give Osman a go.

If Fellaini was a sitting midfielder, I'd put Osman along him and let Pienaar on the wing. But Fellaini is a box to box player with more physical presence and height. He'll be handy at set pieces, for sure.

But Osman, to me, is always a must in the first team.

Good for you, competition for places makes me happy personally. Thank god Van der Meyde is coming back.(y)

Competition for places means Neville get's moved to midfield if this useless tit comes back.

If Tony Hibbert can be a professional Footballer, so can i.

Agreed, he's come on leaps and bounds since moving centrally. Technically there aren't many better English players around, It's a shame he lacks pace and strength as he really would be a top quality midfielder, possible England international.

I wouldn't rule Castillo out either, I was very impressed with his performance against Stoke.

It doesn't at all to be honest, Hibbert would play sub too Neville which is all we want competition for places.

Castillo, Osman, Cahill, Fellaini and Rodwell are now our centre midfielders, barring injury Neville will be at right back.

He bloody well better be. If Moyes leaves any of them on the bench and puts Neville in the midfield in their place i will scream.

If only Nevilles passing wasn't so absolutly atrocious he would be a much much better player than he is.

No one needs to get past him as he stands about 5-10yds from the player so they can just get the cross in. Awful defender.

What did he do in the derby to get you so excited then?

As for that song, its f**king embarrasing. Lets sing about united winning trophies!:@

Do you not remember? Or not go? Or not see the picture?

Hes not the best central midfeilder as i have said, but i think people are biased about him because they think hes crap full stop because hes crap in midfeild, i actually think hes a quality all round full back, seriously he has soem pretty staggering stats.

I would also like to make the point that when it went two all on Sunday bith he he and Cahill took the game by the scruff of the neck and pushed the team on say what you like about quality but you cant buy charicter. Three poists instead of one!

I'm not biased, he's a decent fullback but he's far from quality. I don't see how he's an all rounder either to be honest, he's not a great defender nor is a superb going forward.

How did he take the game by the scruff of the neck? Taking a game by the scruff the the neck means getting one the ball and bossing the game. Making things happen, I don't remember him doing that at all and neither did Cahill to be honest (from open play). He had a good game by his standards though I'll say that, as did the whole team.

At the moment he's the best right back at the club, there is no doubts about that. Right back is definatly a position that needs strengthening though, we need a younger more talented fullback.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, our football will never be free flowing until we flog Neville, he doesn't retain possession enough and his tendency to miss out the midfield holds us back.
