As soon as I heard the news about Kevin Keegan being sacked by the barcodes, my instant reaction was that they would come in for Moyes. Now skysports have just been speaking to the reporter who is getting all the info, and he said that the two names being linked are Dennis Wise and Alan Shearer, but alot of money has been put on David Moyes and his price has been slashed from 33/1 to 6/1. GET THE CONTRACT SIGNED ASAP AND PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY!!!

We've got a better squad of players. He'd have to wait will January and rebuild a squad his way. And he's nicked their assistant manager form Newcastle so he'd wanna take him with him (why go back?). Newcastle go through managers like their owner goes through pasties. The minute he [Poor language removed] up or doesnt do anything they say, he's gone. Did it to Big Sam, just done it to Keagan. He'll be looking over his shoulder all the time. They wouldnt give him enought time either.

95% doubt he'll go. The only big draw is money. More or less frustrating than not having it with us also has the added baggage of a chairman telling you what to do.

The other 5% is that he could be pissed off with us and the board. But then again Moyes is better than Newcastle.

keegan was just a glorified coach there anyway, didnt have any say in the signing and selling of players etc etc

not gonna happen b)

Keegan was only there as a gesture to appease the fans. If Big Sam couldn't do anything with them, then Keegan would not have a chance.

Good point there Kenada.

I'm sure Steve Round has given Moyes the inside dope on all things that have happened behind the scenes there and it probably isn't a pretty picture.

If Moyes was ever considering that position in the past, it's probably safe to say that he isn't now.

It's the kiss of death for any managerial career. He'd be very foolish to even consider it. Plus, the Geordies are tightening their belts at the moment. So why go from one club on a budget to another that lives by the same code (and has a worse squad)?

Any manager worth his salt would be mad to go to Newcastle mind you so would any player. The only good thing about them is they give away 3 years money for a few months work. Cant see Moyes going there, he's a mate of Alladice and he knows what happened to him. The Newcastle crowd slaughtered him. Nothing changes up there except the manager.
