All watching those videos do to me now is make me more angry at what Phil Neville said the other day - and angry at the fact that our club captain is Phil Neville.

Next week I'll be able to think about Everton as ace again perhaps, but right now I just hate Phil Neville.

Southall, Stevens, Van den Hauwe, Ratcliffe, Mountfield, Steven, Gray, Sharp, Bracewell, Sheedy.

Best footie season of my life.

If there is one thing in the world that makes me wish I was 41 and not 21 it's bloody Everton. To have lived through the 1980s would have been special. In fact, **** it, wish I was 61 - seeing The Golden Vision and the 1970s Championship winners and I could die a happy man!

Still not sure why that statement has gotten so much ire.

There has only been one other period in the last 110 years when we have finished top 10 in 8 out of 10 seasons, and that was the 80s.

Also, for a team in our current financial situation, finishing top 10 that consistently is a great achievement.

On both overall history and our premier league history, he was correct.

Massive overreaction to the comment.

haha Brennan's gone all serious and mature on us, dropped the 91 - never sure whether that was his year of birth or IQ anyway - "just Brenners now". Like Jordan when she turned into Katie Price.

You need to stop living in the past.

It's always 1985 in my heart when it comes to Everton and trabs lid.

I was young like but I remember it all. Someone like Fox or le edge will have loved it more though, they were at all the games.

That's why all this is a poor imitation now. Being happy with finishing sixth? [Poor language removed] that, were Everton. My eyes have seen the glory.

i was at school for the years before this period, getting ripped coz everton were shoite, then to live through this period, season ticket and prob about half away games, this was the best. We got used to winning, when we conceded a goal we weren't arsed, coz we knew we'd score more. We were that good. It was sexy football. The times we got beat I'd come away from the game shocked. That didnt happen to us, do you know who we are.

Sad to see us shackled as we are now. Nearly competing at the top, but in reality, far far away.
