Player Valuation: £150m
For not walking away from this club when he could so easily have let his head drop with all the [Poor language removed] (and ungrateful swines) he has to contend with.

Cheers Davy.

But could it be the fact that he's yet to sign his contract,be putting off new players from signing?

That's a chicken and egg call that: he signs players and he likes the club's ambition and he then signs the contract. Something has to give, that's for sure.

Regardless of that, I'm pretty disgusted with the behaviour of some blues this last week who have had the brass neck cheek to question the manager of our football club; a man who has dragged us back from a period of relegation struggles and a complete laugjing stock in the Premiership. Those people should hang their heads in shame.

Well im sorry Dave but Moyes must take his share of the blame, ive already said its only a small part, but clearly he has messed up big time and has come out and said this.

Of course the man is God and our best manager since Kendall 1st time round, but he must take his fair share of blame and he been man enough to put his hand up and take it.

Everyone at the club has to take responsability for their actions.

Moyes has done a remarkable job but he has had his sins also.

It's not just BK fault what is happening. Moyes hasn't raised much money from transfers so where is the club supposed to get extra money?

We are not like some of this country's clubs who are owned by some excentric billionaire.

We are a traditional club and we can find our way to success that way. Look at Arsenal or look at Utd who were already successfull before the Glazers.

They are massive businesses off the pitch mate. We are a standing joke in that respect. The JJB shop in town? FFS!!! The whole business side of things needs gutting and starting again, I see no redeeming factors to it. That can only happen when you have a boardroom full of people with that type of experience and who have their heart in the club.

As for Moyes, his average net spend each season since he's been here must be about £3-4M. Miracle worker. He might be a bit stubborn but if we lost him we'd fall through the door into the Championship.

im a davie moyse fan has done a great job and is doing a great job but i think we should relax our such a high transfer target aim hes aiming imho from what we are,eg good prem standard to top european players surly therse a niche just between were we fit and could get more sucess at the minute it all looks a bit to much of a big leap hence no signings

We've only been twice in a row in Uefa Cup places. We'll have to be thereabout more more times over the next 4/5 seasons.

You just don't step the grade from day to night.

This season is no wonder, but not bringing players in won't relegate us. The kids are a good way to earn our way into the top 4. It'll take time.

Moyes just has to do what he has done for a little while longer. He has to do some shrewd business in the meanwhile.

That's the way we have to go.

If he wants money he'll have to raise it himself. People say we've bought Yakubu on borrowed money, so we'll have to find a way to pay it and to raise money for signings.

Moyes is at fault also.

I'd love to drive a different Jaguar every day. But I can't afford it. I'll have to keep working hard enough until I can do it.

If Moyes wants to go for Moutinho's type of player, then he must do some things in order to achieve it. He can't just wait for anybody else to raise the money. His name is not Benitez and even the [Poor language removed] would have to sell to get Barry in.

He can't just ask for a 20M player and then ask for another 5 players. No team in the Premiership is doing it right now.

With Moutinho we're punching above our weight because we can't afford to sign only one player this season. And why? Because we got rid of a number of players who would provide a stronger backup to the squad. Now we have to sign both squad players and first choice players. If we had kept Carsley we'd only have to replace Fernandes for the midfield. In that situation we'd be able to spend 20M on Moutinho. now we have the same money to sign at least 2 midfielders.

And whose fault was it to allow Carsley to move? Who was the responsible for the squad management?

Don't get me wrong, I stand by Moyes and the job he's done but he has no reason to be fed up as he is responsible too for the present situation.

did his contract not expire and he refused a new deal ?

Agreed Davek.

For his faults (and few they are), he's been the one constant positive for this club over the past 5 years.

Long may it continue.

Have I got this right - you think that, as well as running the playing staff, David Moyes' duties also should extend to finding the money to improve the squad season after season?

:o

Last week this forum (and every other Everton forum) went completely barking mad - blaming Moyes for having standards that he feels will progress us as a club. It just shows how gullible some supporters are to club orchestrated spin.

Through dealing in the transfer market, yes I do. He just did that with McFadden and AJ, he sold 2 players for good money who weren't key players.

Transfers are part of football business and it's a part that is in the manager's hands.

On this I quite agree.they way managers have been treated at our club is shameful I remember them keeping Kendall in limbo after all he had done for us it was disgusting and now I get the feeling Kenwright would be happy for Dave to take the flack:(
