Can the damage be repaired ?

The ones by the same people who secretly recorded a meeting you mean ?

Just because people disagree with one group's ideology does not mean they are opposed to protest. I would protest if i felt the movement had the right aims, and didn't stop protesting as soon as the team started winning.

People aren't happy with the clubs financial position but the **** hasn't hit the fan properly yet so most fans morals are okay. When we do a villa I expect fans to rise up.

I think hes lost the vast majority of fans and he wont be seeing them back anytime soon.

That's just plain wrong, mate.

David Moyes hasn't 'lost the vast majority of the fans' at all. In fact I'd say the exact opposite, that he still retains the support of the vast majority of the fans.

Spoke to a Reading fan, asked him this question.

He said the same.

I accept this but our manager is the one who is looking around not signing its not us looking to push him out the door . The worry is if he stays because nobody else wants him, as I've said if that happened in a relationship it's a recipe for disaster and I think it be the same for us.

and didn't stop protesting as soon as the team started winning.

Just a point - to be fair, they were put in a lose/lose situation:

Option A) Continue to protest whilst the new found optimism of early 2012 was sprouting, because we bought a couple of players on permanent deals for the first time in 2 & 1/2 years, and because we were enjoying a cup run = "You're all bad fans you lot, you're just hurting the club!!!"

Option B) Stop the protests, because you don't want to be perceived as the 'bad guys' hurting the club = "You're all a joke, you just protest when the club isn't doing well, and now you're not protesting, well, the club must be alright now!!!"

Whatever they had done, they'd have been slated. Mistakes have been made along the way, no doubt at all. A PR battle was fought, and unfortunately - mainly due to the vested interests of the local media and the lack of interest/comprehension from the national media - the club was able to win this. Tales of people trying to ring up the local phone ins to speak about the subject, only to be cut off/outright told they were banned from coming on because the subject was off limits are quite prevalent.

Even if all the teams above collapse and we win the league I want rid. So tired of:
-the dour mood
- negative tactics
- no plan B approach
- favortisme towards many players even when they are not performing
- only giving youth one chance and then they never get a glimpse of the first team again
- never just giving it a go
- him ****ting himself whenever we face The Red ****e
- always going for damage control instead of attacking the bigger teams

Great Dane nails it.

I don't want him to re-sign as i've made perfectly clear. But i'd never say a bad word about him when he's gone. He saved our club, i don't hate him in anyway, i just think the club needs a change. He's sadly made the same mistakes time and time again this season and i don't think he's the right man to take us to success. Obviously it would be hard for anyone with our board, but we've still had a squad capable over the last 5 years to achieve better than one cup final.

He lost a lot of fans by putting a weakened team out for a derby, gifting the very hate-able steven gerrard his one and only hat trick vs us when he's so far past it. The cautious performance we then showed vs them in the semi and consistantly game after game this season, is just too hard for me to take now. i want to not only win, but win in style because by god we have the squad for it and virtually every other club in the prem can with lesser squads so why can't we? 3-0 is our best league result.

obviously the main worry for me and many others is that who are the candidates and who will the board pick? they got the right man with moyes, lets hope they can do it again. But i am certainly not one to buy into "moyes is the best we can hope for" brigade.

For me its quite simple. If he finds another club, shake his hand and thank him for his 11 years effort and dedication. If he re-signs, shake his hand and give him your full support to charge on.

I think it will be all forgotten with time if he re-signs, the haters will continue to "hate post" and the lovers will continue to "love post" and the fence sitters will sway with the topics of the day. Like politics really!

"The future belongs to the risk takers - not the security seekers.
The more you seek security , the less of it you will have and the more you persue opportunity ,
the more security you will acheive." - BRIAN TRACEY
Now David Moyes can put that in his pipe and smoke it !

Go take the locks off your doors and windows, leave your car keys in the ignition and leave all your possessions on show. Run a few red lights, and have 4-5 pints before getting behind the wheel.

There's risk taking. How does that present opportunity?

Brian Tracey is chatting through his hole........purely IMO.

other ideas that spring to mind :
Nothing ventured - nothing gained .
Fortune favours the brave .
Courage is the father of success.
Attack is the best way of defense.
All saying the same thing just differently - something David Moyes also does not agree with .

why havn't any of them grabbed him at the first opportunity - he is inviting offers with his lack of commitment to us -
he looks more like a hitchiker without a ride at this stage -
will use the Everton bicycle only if nobody better picks him up - now who is the sucker in this story

Very fair comment the silence is deafening considering it's an open market through europe.

But as others have said who the hell is going to give him total control and 4 million quid?
