Everton are bigger than any manager any player. We the fans are the club.

We should at least expect our manager to be posative about our club at a press conference regardless of his intentions. If he wants to go then fine, but there's no need to highlight the fact that he wants to see if we are good enough come summer? Always backed him, he's been great. But was a little disappointed in his statement yesterday, I won't be on my own from that point of view.

He intially said he would see how January went.

It clearly didnt go as he planned.

He's got far too much class to say it publicily, of course, but I think it's very probable that farcical January was the straw that broke the camel's back. That is not just how a club with serious aspirations conducts itself, and it has happened far too often.

Moyes is a mercenary, he always has been.

I have no idea why people expect him to be some loyal respectful bleeds blue type. He ain't. He's done well enough that I'll wish him well when he leaves but he ain't one of us and he'll never choose the club over himself. He's made a fortune off the fact we're in trouble and need him and he'll leave us in the lurch the moment a better offer comes in.

As always, Moyes is the human shield, taking all the flack for Kenwright.

Even in this thread, any ire is being aimed at Moyes and not the one person who can make him stay - Kenwright.

And yes, he CAN make him stay - by offering him decent transfer funds and supporting him in his teambuilding - stuff that he has failed to do in most of his tenure.

It's all very well revelling in a 'can-do', 'we haven't got any money, but we just get on with it' attitude, but we only do that BECAUSE we have no money, because of the incompetent/selfish/greedy/disinterested/useless/lying Everton board.

Aim your ire at one man - KENWRIGHT!

hahahahahaa popcorn?

I think he will be kacking himself mate, Moyes has papered over a lot of cracks for many years. I hope but am not certain that he will see the writing on the wall.

That's what I've been saying for years: that Moyes locks Kenwright into position. If Moyes had placed more pressure on the board to actually get investment into the club up to this point we might not be facing the proposition of his going. Of course, that was generally met by the cry of "why should he risk his job by confronting the baord and what good will it do?"...well, what good has not confronting them done?

Exactly this. Kenwright has utterly failed us for over a decade now. Somehow he spins the yarn that "cut my wrists and I bleed Everton" is enough to deflect any criticism. The man is a complete Charletan who preys on our love of the club to keep him from the untenable situation that anybody else would find themselves in.

Kenwright OUT. He must never be allowed to be involved with the running of our club again.
