Anyoen who hasn't read the latest Evertonian Mag. They asked this to a fan here was his answer.

WHEN EVERTON ARE ON THE UP,I'M ON THE UP,THEN THEY'RE DOWN,EVERYTHING ELSE IN LIFE SEEMS TO BE DOWN. IT CAN GET TO A POINT WHERE EVERTON ARE A PART OF YOUR INNER SELF. IT'S A LIFETIMES EFFORT OF WEALTH,PAIN,ANXIETY AND SUFFERING AND OFTEN YOU'LL GET LITTLE BACK. YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HOME,YOUR FAMILY,YOUR MARRIAGE, BUT YOU'LL NEVER LOSE EVERTON. THOSE PAINFUL AND HEARTBREAKING MOMENTS MAKE THOSE SPECIAL OCCASIONS OH SO SWEETER. IT'S INDESRCIBABLE WHAT EVERTON FC MEANS TO ME. I'M EXTREMELY PROUB TO BE CHOSEN AS AN EVERTONIAN AND WILL BE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE!.

I don't know what other people feel but I totally agree with that. Sorry for getting soppy and all that but I know that even with no signings and all the crap that's happening during the season Everton will get you 1 result or performance that will make you sit back and feel so proud of them.

The lads got it spot on. I know it gets to the point that for example, sitting in an exam Im thinking about the UEFA cup match tonight or when at work I cant get the ifs but and the maybes out of my head. It might sound stupid and sad but its what it does to me!!

I love it when someone says something is indescribable after they have finished describing it. haha.

A bit like when someone says "words can not explain" and they then explain.

haha - i agree, a season supporting everton can guarantee you going through every emotion possible

Being a Evertonian is something that I was born into, my dad ,his dad and his dads dad where all blues so no prizes for guessing that its now my grandsons team as well, over the years there has been arguments about missing weddings ect because they clashed with games my defence is and always has been that I give my wife a fixture list at the start of the season and there fore she knows what to expect.the one constant thing in my life is Everton they where there when I was a kid and are still there now I'm a granddad ,friends come and go although some remain but like the family Everton are always in my heart.for the last eight years I have had a simple goal to take my grandson to a proper match at Goodison not a friendly and this week I will achieve that thus full filling the obligation to my dad that I would do this if I had children and then grandchildren as he died while I was in my teens I will pass on to my Grandson the hopes that he will do the same with his off-springs. Didn't find out I was a chosen one, untill I was a twelve year old. Looking back, I firmly believe (or at least like to) it was fate that coupled Everton to Fortuna Sittard in the ECWC back in 1985. From the moment I first heard the name Everton, there was something mystical about them. Started looking for their results in the months before the encounter.

Remember listening to the radio, when Everton played Fortuna at Goodison Park. As I was only a twelve year old at the time I wasn't able to travel down to Goodison to see the game myself. I never forget the applausse Fortuna got after the match from the Everton crowd. (That was what the commentator told us at least:unsure::D).

Did go to the Sittard game though and was stood directly alongside a group of Evertonians. As there was quite some bad press in those days regarding the English teams hooligan following, I wasn't feeling to comfortable to stand so close to the away supporters. One of the travelling Evertonians must have noticed that, as he came over and handed me his scarf. From that day on I was hooked on Everton FC. Was great to see them destroying Bayern Munich in the next round and unbelievable to see them lift the ECWC in Rotterdam.

So, maybe I was not born an Evertonian, but definately chosen to become one and will remain so, untill my dying day.

Like yourself I didn't start supporting Everton until the same age, well near enough...I was eleven(I think), but anyway it the mid eighties and the big two on merseyside were top dogs!...I was originally a red, but a trip to Goodison v Forest with my older brother (was a Man U) soon changed all that!

We're both Blues now!

Brilliant, just brilliant mate.

Everton means the world to me, people can say oh it's just a sport, it's just a game but at the end of the day, i'd die for Everton. I'd die for my family aswell but apart from family and friends, nothing gets close to Everton.

My Dad was a blue, diehard blue, went to all the games etc so he wouldn't have me supporting anyone else. Plus his Dad was a blue and my Grandad's dad was one too and so on...
