The Abuse of Heitinga on Twitter

Sounds nice in theory but in the real world people do things that they shouldn't do. People shouldn't steal but that doesn't mean I leave my car or house unlocked. By being on twitter he is making it easy for people to insult him.

That's not dissimilar logic to 'Well if all these girls didnt dress like slu*s then there probably wouldnt be so many rapes, making themselves a target'.

I don't have any social networking accounts for this reason, people's ability to justify tw*ttish behaviour holds no bounds. The idea you can rip into someone on the web just because you can is the thinking of an imbecile.

He should never have been marking Benteke in the first place,Distin should have.Loads of people by me booed him when he went off, nothing to do with Mirallas going off( which people also booed about). To send him abuse on twitter is Ridiculous and only a beaut would think it was a good thing to do but twitter is full of beauts so he shouldn't really be surprised.Im sure he'll get over it when he checks his wage slip.It was Moyes mistake today that cost us.

Howard was taking a bit of abuse from the Gwladys today as well. Think he got a bit pissed off and was gesticulating at the crowd.

All those saying they would punch him in the face are saddos. If you feel that strongly about it, actually go do it. Don't just threaten from afar you soft gets! The funny thing is is that he would probably kick the crap out of you and you would deserve it.
He is having a rough time but I am on his side and believe he will regain his form. Just as I do with Jelavic. These players need our support, as does the team so get supporting or take your support to another club!

I would never abuse the lad on Twitter and that but I reckon I'd have him one on one in the street like...just saying.......he's a faux hardman I reckon.... bit like Skirtl..... a bald head and tats don't turn you into Tyson mate.

That's different. Rape existed long before girls started dressing like s***s so that clearly isn't true. Players didn't get as much abuse before they put themselves on twitter so they have got to realise they're leaving themselves open to it.

The medium of abuse is not the issue, it's the idea that by taking part in a social platform of any kind that you somehow have to hold some responsibility for getting vile abuse.

Women shouldn't take any blame for being a victim of rape if they dress like a s**t, and football players shouldn't take blame for being victims of disgusting abuse just because they signed up for a Twitter account.
