Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

Because we have little to no money to spend  I bet Guardiola was gutted at the prospect of going to Bayern when he could have come here if Moyes wasn't in the way. As if a high profile proven manager from abroad would come to Everton.

We have little to no money to spend in premier league terms. Compared to any club not in the elite leagues in europe we spend decent money. And more improtantly we pay decent wages, meaning we can attract great players and hold onto players in a way dutch and argentine clubs etc just can't.

The premier league is comfortably the most watched and richest league in the world. We have a squad in the top 5 of that league with excellent players in it.

We pay a manager's wage which only 5 european clubs sides outside england beat and we give our managers time, patience and control which is so utterly rare elsewhere.

If you look at top managers and the jobs they end up at why not us? Hitzfeld managed Zurich, Van Gaal AZ, Bielsa Bilbao, Pellegrini Malaga, Rehhagel Hertha, Cuper Adis and Orduspor, Emery Spartak Moscow and Sevilla, Sampaoli managed club football in Chile etc etc.

no silverwhare in 500 games not a good stat on a cv - for job at top club -
not winning the PL can be explained to an extent - but the same arguments don't go for the FA and Capital One Cup - much smaller clubs than Everton have done that -

Tell, me, what selling clubs have had success as you define it in the last 20 years?

The only teams to win the FA cup since the advent of the Premiership aside from the old Sky 4 (Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool) are City (once), Portsmouth (once), and us (once).

Birmingham won the League Cup in 2011 after spending loads of cash. Middlesbrough did the same in 2004. If those are the clubs you're aspiring to be like then I don't know what to tell you.

Don't talk ****.

Who's in the league cup final this year mate?

Pretty sure we outspent birmingham the year they won it and outspent Blackburn and Leicester when they won the league cup too.

It's understandable that we're all desperate to win a trophy but who really gives a **** about the League Cup. It's a second rate ****e competition and I would rather we did well in the league each season than have one League Cup win. Birmingham, Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Swansea and Bradford may have been League Cup Finalists/Winners but take a look at how they do in the league.

We have a squad that is "in the top 5 of the league with excellent players" which was assembled by the current manager and you would rather replace him? Strange logic to me.

he has the board over a barrel if he goes there will be murder,if we get to the champs lg there will be a few after him out contract and built a team on a low budjet,he holds all the cards and it cost alot to keep him, thats if he wants to stay like ,

bill cant really afford him to go the pressure would really be on him and any
new manger would want to put his own mark on the team and that costs money and is a risk niether of which we can afford,if he goes it will go to one of the peope around the club less change of rocking the apple cart and cheaper

Anyone know if there's the usual pre game press conference today and what time it is?

I'm interested to hear DM's thoughts on the transfer day shambles, no doubt he will stick up for the board because that's the type of guy he is.
