Why aren't we getting a fee at least? I have no problem with selling him, but FFS you'd think we'd be compensated for his development surely?

I mean:

As part of the agreement with Blackburn Rovers, Everton will receive a percentage of any future sell-on fee for Forrester.

Who cares? We've nurtured his development since he was 9 - if Blackburn release him in a few years we get sod all for training him for nine years!

Well what are we meant to do if he's crap? During those 9 years the club obviously thought he'd come good, and he hasn't.

If we're going to release him on a free why should Blackburn give us money?

Tbh, strikers wise in the youth, Hallam Hope is the one people talk about actually making it.
Good that the club have put in a sell on clause though.

You only get a tribunal fee if you offered a contract and it was turned down in favour of another club's offer. He was probably told he wouldn't be offered a contract, so it makes no difference whether he left now for nothing or then for nothing.

Fair enough.

Hope hasn't really played in a traditional striker role since the Milk Cup from what I've been able to tell. More of a wide man in a 4-3-3 and not as prolific a goalscorer as he was in lower age groups.

After struggling to get U21 games at Everton, Anton has been playing frequently and scoring freely at Blackburn U21s.

He's just been called up for England U19's on 21st March for the friendly against Turkey. Four other Everton lads are also called up (Lundstram,Stones,Browning and Pennington) and ex-loanee Eric Dier is also there for the same game.

Well done Anton, and all the other lads!
