Correct. Singing's a by-product of good games, good performances and important matches. People stand more when it's tense and when we're doing well in an important game. Not for the sole purpose of creating an atmosphere. I think it allows for more singing and more noise, but without the spark provided on the pitch, there wouldn't be the increase in volume. Plenty of sets of fans stand for long periods at Goodison and elsewhere without singing, anyway.
What was your fault?
And you don't want Everton to sell John Heitinga lad, you really are clueless.

True. He really is a fraud. A blag hardman as they say, a real snide.
But the ground regulations do, which you agree to obey when you buy the ticket. It's not hard to understand.
He is a blag hardman and he doesn't even want to be here. And when he's played he's been sh*te this year.
But back onto topic, we don't need to make such a big fuss over standing.
Whatever happens happens an we can't manufacture an atmosphere an tell everyone to stand, only half stood at Newcastle and the ones sitting were creating just as much noise as us standing.
It does not say you cannot stand. It says 'persistantly' stand. I ensure that for one second during the match I sit, to therefore ensure it is not persistant. The wonders of interpretation of the vagueness of the English language.
I know that's an arsey answer Brennan, and I didn't mean it as a dig to your comments. It's a common argument used by the likes of the FSF on this matter when discussing it with clubs, looking at the issue as a whole.
As I say, I'm not one to stand and annoy sitters, I don't agree with standing away unless you can choose your seat to be with others who wish to stand.
I'm finishing work in a minute and need a wee. So will have to call it quits with you. Have a good evening mate.
