Incorrect. The law says you must be provided with "seated accomodation", the law does not say you have to sit down.

*sigh*

If you want to be pedantic, Football League regulation says persistent standing is against the rules and you can be ejected from the ground. That means you agreed to those rules when you bought the ticket. Therefore you agreed to sit for the majority of the match.

Whether you stand or not is irrelevant, you paid for a seat and agreed to sit in it during the game, those are the terms of your ticket purchase.

Correct, this is also how it is viewed by Parliament:

1. Only seated accommodation is to be provided for spectators at a designated football match.

2. Spectators are only to be admitted to watch a designated football match from seated accommodation.

I honestly think it's just plain rude to stand at the game anyway as the people behind you have paid for thei seat too and don't wany to stare at your back for 90 mins....if someone was stood in front of me I would tell them straight to sit down.

You're being the pedantic one if you think you don't go the match to watch Everton but to buy a seat.

The regs are like no smoking in the bogs, don't bring cameras in, stuff like that. They are not law.

The regs are not the reason you go the match. You go the match to watch Everton, otherwise why not go tomorrow morning when no match is on?

Plus define persistant, sit down once quickly during a match so that it's not persistant?
