Most young people want to stand and sing.
Most people in thier mid 20s to 40s will stand and sing when when and as the game dictates.
Most older people want to sit and watch the game and will cheer and sing when we score.
You can`t please everybody all off the time.

The correct answer.

If I'm with mates I'll do a bit of standing.

If I'm with my old man we mainly sit.

But really....

Who gives a flying eff?

I've been through the Heitinga argument more than enough times to be honest haha.

But I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't try and make someone stand up, I just prefer if everyone stands. I was in the section that stood at Newcastle and we were the only ones that made noise unless the 'sitters' stood up for a few seconds to join in..

I was in there also and was happy to stand, but really it's not worth stressing over getting people to stand, If we do great if not so what, it's up to people's voices for them to sing not there limbs.
Also, you probably don't do it but when people are having a go at lids at the match to stand up it's out of order.

I think it's more to do with the varied supporter type we have both in age and men/women. But when you check out some of the foreign support mainly young or middle age men you can see why atmosphere is so poor at English grounds. Check out Dresden v Dortmund on YouTube that some atmosphere !

Basically what I've learned is that English football is for the narrow minded and tourists. Look most places you will see passion, flares, displays and excitement. Look at the English you'll see fat men scoffing a pie, kids playing on phones and wife's forced to go.

Boring.
