Moutinho - all talk in here please.

Its still up in the air speculation, but i always felt AJ's deal was stalled due to another transaction being dealt with before his completed move to Fulham. A week on after my initial suspicions, i still may however be way off track which will be the most inevitable result. I am no fishy kipper so my theories may be slightly stronger, not in smell you understand

I disagree, sometimes you get a better view on the tv. What a very blinked view, just cos he lives in America doesnt mean hes any less of an Evertonian than you or me.

His point is right and yours is wrong, if Manny wasnt a good player Valencia wouldnt have paid 12m for him and we wouldnt have been about too. He struggled for form and fitness when he came the 2nd time and he was carrying a knock and low on confidence, Moyes worked his magic and you could see his class in the latter games of the season.

I admit at times his passing is a bit wayward, but hes still young and if he was to come to Everton im sure Moyes would get the very best out of him.

I would still have Moutinho before him, but i dont think thats an option anymore, i think its a case of Moutinho or bust, we clearly cant meet the price and still have money left over for other players.

Of course Manny suffered when he came to us the second stint. He had been lent out to us the season before and did it well then. He wasn't wanted by his club and got sold during the summer. He trained here and then signed for Valencia for some strange reason and got parked on the bench there.

Many bad decisions on the way, not wanted by either his former owners or those who bought him, not played regularly since he left us last summer and then coming to an improved team and struggling to regain matchfitnes during a time in the season when we were going strong and had a healthy and good playing team.

Getting him now would mean that we'll sign him when he has a preseason behind him where he has been fielded and showing him that we have faith in his capabilites, it would also give him a chance to get into the team before the team is glued together. Thereby increasing the chance that he'll regain his confidence and fitness.

He only didn't play nov/dec, before that he was playing quite regular. It was during this time his attitude problems arose again and he found himself in jail

I will give you the fact that i could see us having some problems with him, his attitude does appear to be a bit shitty. But he is young, so im sure this would be resolved in time.

Hes a young gifted player tho, the type of player we should be looking at getting in. PLus from all reports hes only cost 6-7m, bargain IMO.

But i havent seen anything to suggest he will come and he seems to be impressing Valencia atm, so lets stick to hoping we get Moutinho.

Look at big dunc mate. That lad had the ability to achieve so much more but he let himself down. Some players just have an attitude problem

Mods could we possibly close this thread and then have new one when something significant occurs? It seems this one has gone off piste a little bit with there being no developments and its getting hard to search through so many pages for new developments.

Well if there's been 8 pages since I last logged on, them i'm going to read them all to see if there's any info in there relating to the transfer. Yes I always read the last page first, but am still inclined to read all the other pages too.

Anyway this thread isn't even about Moutinho anymore, just Johnson and Manny which there are other threads for.

There isnt any Moutinho news, yea maybe it went off a little, but even the title of the topic is misleading, we aint had no bid accepted, so this isnt the thread to be talking about Moutinho.

Not really cause people are only adding these comments in response to someone saying something about Manny or Johnson. If this was closed UNTIL something happens on the Moutinho front, they will have to use the correct threads to discuss those players.

It just seems this particular thread is becoming cluttered with information not relating to the topic, so people either need to discuss things in the right threads, or this be closed and a new thread opened once something significant happens on the Moutinho front
