Distin & Neville - Contract Extensions

Neville getting a contract extension is a kick in the teeth to all season ticket holders. Absolutely disgraceful if it happens. I only hope it's because Moyes values him as a good influence on younger players and not because he sees him continuing in this central, pivotal role in the first team. He's an absolute liability the fella.

Distin is fine, he's still got the legs for another two years imo.

Your point being? Are you denying that he hasn't cost us a lot of goals this season? We'd most likely be higher in the table if Gibson was there than him. He is a woeful player and is stealing a living in a Premier League team.

Yeah I am, list all of these numerous goals that he's cost us, if you like.

Gibson is a better player, but he's injured eh, Neville has been filling in the absence of alternative cover & he's been far from woeful nor has he been stealing a living ffs.

How does Blue Bill constantly escape criticism for the fact we have no choice but to play an old man in the middle as soon as we get an injury?

Our squad is still very small when compared to almost the whole top half of the league.

Wigan - Just stood there in the box and done **** all
QPR - Messed up the pass and then looked like he was pulling a weight running back
Fulham - Because he is so rubbish he just kicks out at people (Berbatov) because they're of far superior skill and much quicker.

There are 3 off the top of my head, I'm sure he has done more this season.

Ok you win, I can't argue with logic like that, you're right, I think I'll start booing him, I might even throw me pie at him next week.
 
They should be offered reduced wages if they are getting an extension, to go with their reduced abilities, if they dont like it, they can boost their pensions elsewhere, though Neville will probably get a pay rise
