Thats how I felt earlier.

Yes, you heard me.

All hail the saviour of this football club.

Progress every season since this wonderful man took over.

He saved us from he who shall not be named and appointed Moyes to put us firmly on the path the glory.Shelled out money from his own pocket and is the only chairman not to have a wage in the league*

Rome wasn't built over night. It took time, just like it will take us time to build Kirkby.

*may have made that up
What part of progress was it messing up the chance of a life time at the dock stadium?
What part of progress is selling most of the clubs assets
what part of progress is buying a new training ground then selling it and renting it back
what is glories about lying to all the fans on more than a few occasions ie the fortress fund,,I am lookin 24/7 for investment when he had a agreement with Tesco that no change in the balance of ownership will be entertained while the Kirkby ground is being discussed.
what other Chairman would answer a shareholders question with the reply dont ask me im only the chairman or state publicly that he cant sell the club because we are in the same city as Liverpool. funny how Chelsea with all the clubs there got sold, Man city in a city with a bigger club united got sold.
He dose not receive a wage true ,but will he sell the club for £10 providing the new owner invests heavily in the club like Hayward of Wolves did? or when he sells will he make a huge profit on his investment.
When Bill first took over no one was more delighted than me but gradually I have lost faith in him as most of his claims never add up .I mean how can you talk 10-15 times a day with Mr Moyes and get to this stage without the contract being signed if every thing is fine?,
forget the location, the deal he has agreed with Kirkby means the claim of increasing revenue by other than football highly unlikely and why should we allow Kirkby council free use of the stadium. and as for being liable to reemburse them the cost of going elsewhere if we cannot accommodate them is beyond any logic, this from a club who are closing down their training at schools in the community because of the cost of funding not having a go at people who still believe in Bill thats their opinion just as this is mine.(y)

Kenwright was on the board when it first started and at the end it was him and Gregg in charge(y)

Ta for that, I was wracking my brain trying to remember.

Im still gutted that fell through, it would have been fantastic, perfect location too. Still, if you remember mate, there were blues who campaigned like [Poor language removed] against that - Goodison for Ever-ton - and in hindsight they got that all wrong. And lets be honest mate, we cant drop the Kings Dock failure in Kenwrights lap really can we?

Anyway, why the [Poor language removed] am I defending him? There best be something out of this for me Bill d'ye hear?

fine, it's ok if you don't rate him, but why take the piss?
regardless of how well or badly you may consider he's done to date, he simply lacks the financial clout for the role of club chairman at this level.

Come on Senor Stevens, its ok to take the piss - its an electronic forum and thats what we do. Are you not digging the pro club vibes?

you must have misread my post.

btw, i'm sure that whether people are feeling optimistic or pessimistic at any given moment doesn't affect whether they're pro-club.

You will always have a section of supporters that wont leave Goodison.and they traders that rely on our income much as I like Goodison if a viable proposition to move like with the dock I would vote to go sadly I feel Kirkby fails to do this.I just wish people would read the proposals and such .a lot did dismiss the move solely on location which is their right but I think a lot of our fans from Kirkby feel insulted by that

Good point mate. I think everyone would be happier if we could re-develop Goodison feasibly.

As it is, I would like to see Everton win shiny things again at some point in my life and staying at falling apart Goodison isnt going help that. Damn you Sky.

Bad wools them Kirby scals lar.

I can sense youre coming round to our way of thinking now Stevens, your journey is nearly complete and I, for one, am happy. We should hug.

you've been thinking? :o

i just don't like the very black & white approach some folk have to issues & personalities to do with everton. kenwright isn't perfect, but neither is he the anti-christ, imho.
however, although i hate to disappoint you i don't consider my experience on this forum (good as it can be) has taken me on any journey or changed my views particularly, i just try to take an even-handed approach on most issues, as ever.
i'm still on for hugs though - the world needs more love b)
