Would SWP Fit The Bill ?

I think we should be looking at winger abroad, who have a wide range of skills, Arsshavin for example :P or Joaquin. SWP is good, skillful but barely has any strength...we need a player who can beat players, and is not a pushover. AKA Osman OUT!!

Boooooooooooooooo!!

You should be ashamed of yourself dom!!

Why not? Some players fit in and at some clubs and some players fit in at other clubs. Certain styles suit certain teams.

Spurs also have alot more competition in midfield than us. Players like Dos Santos and Modric are quality players so its going to be hard for the likes of Huddlestone and Lennon.

I'm not saying definatly sign him but I don't agree with this term "if he not good enough for them he's not good enough for us."

Spurs are a very talented team who've had a blip. They finished 5th twice in a row before this season, won the League cup and have went far in Europe on a few occasions.

Whats to say Modric or Dos Santos will fit in. But i realy dont think Lennon would fit in we need wingers that have a good football brain and can pick a good pass eg Young of Villa now he has pace and can make good of anything (not saying we should go for him) but we need complete football players not just lads with pace.

There's a chance they won't but I'll give them time to prove themselves and Ramos seems to think they'll fit in. We'll wait and see.

I just think its stupid for fans to right off certain players just because they weren’t first choices at there last clubs or have had a poor season. Look at Pienaar and Arteta. Two quality players who lost there way at other clubs and joining Everton revitalised them. The same could apply to someone like Fernandes. Not wanted by Valencia so hopefully he’ll come and get back to his best here.

I just don’t agree with people saying because the likes of Huddlestone and Lennon wouldn’t get into Spurs team they automatically aren’t good enough for us. Not the way I think to be honest.

Point taking i do rate Huddlestone i think he would fit right in good on the ball and great vision. I personally think Lennon is a bit of a headless chicken.

Fair enough. I sort of agree with you. I'd take Lennon and SWP but neither would be at the top of my list.

SWP is alot better (capable of 15 goals/yr) than Lennon (not a goal scorer) but also probably alot more expensive too. Lennon is also a injury waiting to happen.

I'd take Valencia over both of them anyday.

S.W.P., Lennon, Downing are all terrific players i would be happy with any of the three of them.

I would like Downing the most if i am honest if he was foregin we would all be shouting from the hilltops to get him, i think this is the most realistic one in terms of getting him, infact i wouldntbe surprised if he was with us next season, again we tend to forget how young he is and he has performed to a very high standard consistently for such a young player in the time he has been around, he will only get better, i beleive he is probably the most talented convential English winger. We will be in for him if/when he leaves boro.

I have always liked SWP, but i think for a number of reasons it wont happen as mentioned above who his father is, height, wages. To be honest i would be a bit hesitent, as i have question marks over a player who would sit on the bench for three seasons and be happy with his lot, doesnt really show the tenacity and will to succeed his talent deserves, in fact he will probably be the player he could have been due to these wasted years.

Lennon is an awsome player a real talen, i think its harsh judgeing him on concistency and so on because he is still young, i think if Spurs were foolish enough to let him go i think he would end up at Utd or Arsenal if i am honest, i really think he is an awsome talent, he will undoughtedly come good as he matures.

i dont think he'd ever come to us on the basis of who his father is. he once did an article saying we were the most racist fans in the country.

We had some idiot fans in the past but surely we've shaken off that tag nowadays. I realise that there is still a few of them knocking around but these are by far a tiny, tiny minority, and they're living on borrowed time.

he said the other week that he was amazed we held a grudge against the rs after so long so now lets see if he still holds one.

would he fit the bill...........nah he's nowhere near tall enough to be a copper, telly one or not he wouldnt look right.
